To Adidas corporate office and management,

My name is Carlos Cambriani. I am contacting you in reference to an incident that occurred on Thursday September 15, 2022, at store 6151 The Allen Premium Outlet store located at 6020 W. Stacy Rd Allen TX 75013.

On Saturday September 18, 2022, at 2:41pm, I purchased a pair of black sneakers from this location. The price was $129.88, and I paid with my debit card from my bank. The shoes were not in a box because they were selected from the sales area in the back area of the store. Upon purchasing the shoes, the cashier cut the black security zip tie and also the price tag from the shoes. I only asked her to cut the black security zip tie from the shoes in case I needed to put them on for work that evening. Without my consent, she also cut the price tag from the shoes. She did not give me the price tag when she removed them from the shoes. The cashier was a young lady, she had brown hair, very young between 20-and 25years old

On Thursday September 15, 2022, around 4:45pm my friend and I went back to the same store and spoke with a different employee. This time it was a young male employee, He asked me how I paid for the items. I told him that I paid with a debit card and that the previous cashier cut the black security tag from the shoes when I purchased them on Saturday, I also told him that she also cut the price tag off without my consent. She did not give me the price tag when she removed it from the shoes. He stated that he could not give me a refund because the shoes did not have a price tag. I explained again that the previous employee removed it and did not give it to me when she cut it off After that, he called the Manager of the store to assist him. The Manage approached the front counter and the young employee explained the situation. The Manager immediately stated that he could not process a refund because the shoes didn’t have a price tag, however he was able to exchange them for another item in the store. They began speaking to each other. Then I asked them, “why am I able to not get a refund since it wasn’t my error, the previous employee on Saturday removed the price tag without my consent. This was her mistake.” The Manager explained the policy again. I explained that it wasn’t my fault, and I shouldn’t be held responsible for their error. Then, the Manager stated that that it was IMPOSSIBLE FOR ANYONE IN HIS STORE TO CUT THE TAG AND REMOVE, ALL EMPLOYEES ARE TRAINED NOT TO DO THAT! He then called me a liar and stated that it was impossible for that to happen. He then again called me a liar and said I can’t do anything to help you. He then because really angry and aggressive. I asked to speak to his manager or a District Manager, I also asked for his name., He stated that he was the Manager and he refused to give me his name and stated, “YOU DON’T HAVE TO KNOW WHO I AM AND I DONT HAVE TO GIVE YOU SH**” Then the Manager started yelling at me again in front of several customers in the store. I still remained calm and asked him to stop yelling at me. I quickly took a photo of him on my phone since he wouldn’t give me hiss name. He then took out his phone and took a photo of me without my consent!

I explained that I was a customer and that he didn’t have to scream and yell at me. The Manager became very irate, and repeated the store policy, and yelled at me trying to force me to read the policy. Once again, I remained calm. He yelled at me again stating, “You don’t know how to read the policy? You must not know how to [censored]*** read “and then started laughing at me in front of everyone.” He also said that I needed to go back to school to learn how to read! I was totally embarrassed by his actions and his insults. He then started calling me Dude and started making a mockery of my necklace and the way I was dressed in front of all his employees and several other customers. I asked him to please stop mocking me and my religious necklace.in a very calm voice, He became angry and stated that I looked like a clown. So, then I asked him to please calm down, I just came to get a refund form my purchase. The Manager then took my bag with my shoes and thew them on the floor and told me to “GET THE FU** OUT OF MY STORE!” The Manager became angrier and stated walking towards me to physically approach me! Immediately another female store employee grabbed him and tried to make him calm, she grabbed him and pushed him to the back of the store. While she waws pushing him to the back of the store, He was still yelling saying “that he was going to beat me and kick my A** out of the store” My friend was next me and told me not to say anything else and said that we should leave. My friend saw and heard everything. After the female employee, pulled him back to the store, I went back to the clearance area to see if there was another pair of shoes to exchange. Then the Manager began to approach me again with the female employee, He then started Yelling and becoming verbally abusive and insulting. My friend interviewed and asked him to calm down, and we both proceeded to leave the store.

As a customer, I would never expect your employees to treat anyone this way. He publicly insulted me, was verbally abusive, discriminated and insulted my religion, discriminated against my race and made a mockery of me in front of employees and customers. I have shopped at this location for many years. My family is a racially mixed family, and we are very big Adidas fans however since this incident occurred, we will not be shopping at this location for the fear of being discriminated against or verbally and physically harmed by another employee or the same Manager at the Allen Outlets locations

I contacted the Allen police and was referred to file a police report. For the fear of this Manager causing harm to me or my family, I am looking to obtain an Attorney because the Manager has my photo and was threating to cause me physical harm. I am very dissatisfied with the harassment, discrimination and verbal abuse which could have led to a physical attack, all because of one employee’s mistake. I still have the receipt and the shoes, which I still cannot use. My friend is a witness to everything that happened. We both have to discontinue our relationship with this Adidas store due to the fear of the Manager and his threats. I would like the appropriate department Manager to contact me at [protected].

Desired outcome: I would like a refund for the purchased items, an apology from the Manager and to be able to shop at this location without any fear of retaliation or physical violence.
