We hired Adams Foundation Repair & Waterproofing to put in a drain tile system with sump pump and move two downspouts. It seems like they did the job right and everything is working fine so far. But we can't recommend them because of a few issues. First, they tore out the bottom half of our basement steps and messed up some walls and shelves without telling us beforehand. We didn't plan for the extra cost to fix all that. Second, they said they could disconnect and reconnect our gas water heater, but when they left, it wasn't working and there was a gas leak. We had to call the gas company to fix it. This was really dangerous and could have hurt us or their crew. Third, we talked to the office manager and sent them an email explaining our concerns, but they didn't give us a satisfying response. They even threatened us with legal action and late fees when we didn't pay the full bill right away. We didn't want any more trouble, so we paid the balance minus the small discount they gave us.

Office staff was extremely helpful in getting my questions answered and getting the repairs scheduled. The crew arrived bright and early in the morning and worked until the job was complete. I had my basement waterproofing done by Adams Foundation Repair and Waterproofing company last summer. They were very professional with their quick and timely assessment and estimates. They gave a detailed description on the damage and their recommendations. Very informative with their answers to all my questions I had throughout the process of the repair. I am happy with their service.

They do outstanding work they have few thing the people need to no they do thing by contact so for example if they do work for you make sure like the final grade or when they come back and smooth out your yard they don't do it to soon you need to wate at least 3 mouths if they do it sooner then it settles it in the contract they want to change you again to come fill the ground that settled so jist get it in the contract to wate 3 mouths to do the final grade and seed the ground pay attention to the contract and how it is worded because they go by what the contract has in it jist saying ... .

Poor customer service and denial of any wrong doing by them seems to be a theme with Adams. We had them install a drain tile system for us and some work outside to help with drainage. There was a lot of confusion on what was supposed to be done outside and I am almost certain the work was not done correctly because the water still stands stagnant for several days after a heavy rain. Inside we experienced several other issues, including a crack they missed that was pretty obvious, and leaking around the sump pump outlet pipe they drilled through our foundation wall. Additionally, the crew barely every communicated with us on what they were doing or showed us anything about the expensive system we paid for. When it was all done, the guy in charge of the job gave me the manual for the sump pump and said they were done and leaving. No explanation on anything with the pump or anything they did. When we started to experience issues with the system (more water still coming into our basement), Adams handled the situation terribly and were combative and rude. My wife reached out to the owner (she is a realtor and had his contact info) and he not only ignored her message, but responded directly to me with basically the same message the office manager gave me: It's not our fault, but you can pay us more to fix it. We ended up hiring another company to fix all the stuff they did wrong and do the things they missed. The experience with the new company was COMPLETELY different. I would not recommend this company to anyone. Seriously, find another company and save yourself a lot of frustration and heartache.

Spent $23000 for a French drain, waterproofing, crack repair and piers with a lifetime transferable warranty. The foundation is still moving, the company is out of business. I need help! The cut walls in the basement without my permission or telling me they were going to, they took down the basement steps and refused to put the back

I checked out Adams Foundation Repair and Waterproofing Inc. and I gotta say, they did a pretty good job. They fixed up my foundation real nice and made sure it was waterproofed too. The workers were friendly and knew what they were doing. They showed up on time and got the job done in a jiffy. I was worried about the cost, but they gave me a fair price and didn't try to rip me off. Overall, I'm happy with their service and would recommend them to anyone needing foundation repairs.

I hired Adams Foundation Repair and Waterproofing Inc. on January 7, for a total of $8,115. However, I've been having trouble getting my phone calls returned and reaching the owner to address the problems I'm facing. The company requested that I pay for a structural engineer myself, with the possibility of being refunded later. All I want are some answers, for the work to be completed, and for my basement to stop flooding. The foreman working on the job informed me that the system should be sufficient, but I told the company a different story. They claim to be honest, reliable, and capable of getting things done right the first time, but unfortunately, that hasn't been my experience.

We hired Adams foundation company to put in an egress window in our basement. Part of the code is that the window needs to be tied to the existing foundation drainage system. It ain't. No drainage solution was done. After we mentioned how the window leaks, they gave us another quote for more money to add a sump pump. The original quote should have had some sort of drainage solution. The fact that it had no drainage is the problem. Since the agreement of the work included the requirement that the egress window be built to code (and it ain't). Also, the window don't meet the code requirement of having 9sqft of clearance when the window is fully opened. Originally, the inspector passed the egress window inspection, but we had them come back out and check these two things specifically and agreed the work ain't up to code.

I hired Adams Foundation Repair to put in a system to stop water leakin' in the basement of a rental property. They were supposed to put in a drainage system and a new sump pump to fix the problem. They did put in the system, but for some reason, they moved the sump pump to a whole different area of the basement. Now, water is still collectin' in parts of the basement that are lower down. The floors of the basement slope towards the old sump pump spot. But now that they moved the new sump pump to a higher spot in the basement, it's makin' the water keep collectin' in areas where it used to flow down towards the old sump pump spot. I ain't gonna pay 'em until they send someone to fix the problem, but they won't send anyone, even though they say they guarantee their work. I paid the rest of the bill on 9/24 ($2,410).

week to respond to my message and when they finally did, they said that it was normal for the drain to backflow during heavy rain and that it would eventually drain out. I wasn't convinced and asked them to come and take a look. They scheduled a visit but didn't show up on the agreed-upon date. I had to call them again to reschedule and they finally came a few days later.

When they arrived, they inspected the drain and agreed that there was indeed a problem. They said that the downspout was not properly connected and that they would fix it. They also mentioned that they would add an extra drain to ensure proper drainage. I appreciated their willingness to address the issue and make it right.

After they made the necessary repairs, I monitored the drain during the next heavy rain. To my relief, it was working properly and there was no backflow. I was glad that they took the time to fix the problem and ensure that the French drain was functioning as it should.

Overall, I am satisfied with the work that Adams Foundation Repair and Waterproofing Inc. did in my basement. The installation of the I-beams and the crack repairs were done well. However, I was disappointed with the initial oversight in connecting the downspout to the French drain and the delay in addressing the issue. But in the end, they did fix the problem and I haven't had any further issues.

Only time will tell if the repairs hold up in the long run, but for now, I am happy with the service provided by Adams Foundation Repair and Waterproofing Inc.

In April me and my husband were buying our first home. During inspection there were concerns about the foundation (rear wall) in the basement. The inspector said it needed more investigation and we asked the sellers to have that done. On April 14th we got a letter saying that *** from Adams foundation had inspected the property, found it to be structurally sound, and no repairs were needed. With this peace of mind we moved forward and closed on the home. We moved in on May 6th and 11 days later we noticed water leaking through the wall we were worried about. The seller agreed to have someone come out and fix it. Once the repair was done, a few months later water started leaking from the same place, again. At this time we started suspecting we were getting the run around so in December we finally got the seller to send Adams Foundation back out and at that time they found out we had 1.75 inches of wall movement and needed almost $9,000 worth of work done. We tried to get the sellers to pay for this and they said no. We had a structural engineer come out and he said we would need almost $30,000 worth of work done to fix the basement. This doesn't include the cost to return our yard to its original state, redo the patio, or replace the fence that needs to be taken out. We got a lawyer and we have been fighting with Adams foundation ever since. Adams Foundation insurance agents came out and did an inspection and we were told by ***, that they denied the claim because we hadn't filed a lawsuit yet. My lawyer had regular communication with the Adams Foundation Attorney, ***, and told him that if we needed to file a lawsuit then we would, but for *** to let him know if that's what the insurance company wants. My lawyer hasn't heard anything from *** in over a month and my basement still has water coming in because of Adams Foundations negligence.

I had Adam's Foundation at my home November 2-4, 2020 to install a sump pump and drain tile around the perimeter of my basement. On November 14th, it rained for the first time after the work was completed. I checked the basement to see if the drain had worked. I discovered that there are puddles of water along the same wall the sump pump is located, and the sump pump well is completely dry. It appears the systems they installed does not work. I am not happy with how they handled the discharge line. The salesman originally told me that it would run out the front of the house and go out to the side of the hill in the front yard. However, when they were here doing the work, the lead guy said there was some issue with doing it that way and drilled it out of the side and tied it into a temporary downspout which only drains a few feet from the foundation. I looked it up on a home inspection site that it should drain a minimum of 10ft from the foundation. I have already had another company come out to quote me on fixing the discharge line and to patch the holes correctly. The day after they completed the work, I was in the basement cleaning up the mess they left, and discovered that they had mistakenly drilled an extra hole in the bricks. No one on the crew told me that this happened I was left to find it on my own. They slapped concrete in the extra hole and hoped I wouldn't see it. Along with cleaning up, I also had to move my appliances and hook the sink back up and put a door back on the hinges all of which they moved and didn't bother putting back. I did call and ask to have someone come back to help me move the large appliances as they are heavy, and they told me to do it myself with no intention on sending someone out to help. I had hired a plumber to help with reconnecting the appliances and sink. All of these complaints I have brought to their attention along with pictures, and all of these issues have been ignored by them. If fact, when I called to pay my final bill I was hoping to all talk to this management team, and she acted like she had no idea I had concerns. I was never contacted by anyone on this management team. They have offered me no resolution, and now that I see there is water still in my basement I am even more displeased. I paid a lot of money for this home improvement project, but it has mostly just been a big expensive headache.
