Acima Leasing review: Vacuum cleaner

I purchased a vacuum cleaner through Wayfair. I received the vacuum and made my payments delingently every two weeks. Up until I recieved notification that my payments did go through with my debit card as auto pay. When I got the notification I made the payment immediately. However I was charged a return fee each time this occurred that have a total of 370 at this point. Which is insane! I contacted my card services and they explained to me the payment was not pulled or declined. For clarification i let my card service know when the auto payments were due to come out there is no record I contacted Acima and explained something is off and have no idea why I’m able to make a payment with the same card, but they cannot pull a payment. So I said I would make the payments myself in the due date to prevent any further issues, however I was told I would still be charge again on the due date with the card on file. I asked them not to use the card on file because I feel there was some fraudulent issues going on and at this point I felt is was safer for me to cancel card and make payments online. No solution or helpful advice was offered to me. Which may feel I was being scammed by Acima and forced to pay fees that to date is 370. When it occurred again I spoke with another person who was not kind at all and told me it does not matter I still have to pay late fees according to lease contract. I decided to search for lease I did not have a lease contract to view I try find it on there site all I got was the lease was not available because product was in transit the product was delivered 10 months ago. I had not heard back nor did I receive any notification could not access the contract for the last 2 months until today I decided to. Try again with online portal only to find out they are still charging me late fees. This is clearly a scam with Acima and unethical business practice. I will be seeking legal advice. I cannot afford these fees with 4 kids and partime work due to disability I’ve pretty paid the cost of this vacuum if not more than it’s worth.
