Beware of acai advanced. You will be doubled teamed! I ordered the free trail of the acai advanced c/o glf. The only thing they said you would be charged for is $5.95 shipping. They made me sick so I called and cancelled it within the trail period. They told me to send back the bottle and there would be no further charges and they gave me confirmation #. I asked again… is there anything else I need to do, would there be any more charges to my card and they said no. A week later I have a charge for $24.95… beside the charge it said, ” purchase vit*live lean aa 1”. I had no idea who that was so I called my bank and they gave me a phone number that was associated with the charge [protected]). I called the number and they said the charge was for the living lean weight loss management plan that I signed up with. I told them that I did not sign up for any weight loss plan and they told me that I did when I ordered the trail order of acai advanced. They said when you place that order you automatically sign up with them. I disagreed and asked her to show me ‘on the site’ where it states that I am doing that. Right above where you sign up for the trail there is a bubble that states: … plus free gift pass to liveleanforlife weight loss management plan… then she tells me to go way down to the bottom of the page where the site menu is and click on ‘terms and conditions’. I then told her no matter what, I did call and cancel and made sure before we hung up that there would be no further charges. She told me that they were a separate company and had nothing to do with them. I needed to call a different number to cancel with them. What a rip off!

This guy didn't read his terms and conditions. In reality, he ripped himself off. If there is a lesson to be taken away from all of this, it is to read those terms and conditions whenever you order from a pop-up, automated e-mail, or side-bar on a website. I always assumed that citizens of this country would be a little smarter than they are, but I am severely disappointed with the naivety and outright bad decision-making of a large segment of the American population. NOTHING IN THIS LIFE IS FREE. THERE IS NO MAGIC PILL THAT WILL SOLVE ALL YOUR PROBLEMS. Start making clear-headed, informed decisions and stop putting your credit card numbers into a pop-up that says "FREE" on it. THERE ARE ALWAYS TERMS AND CONDITIONS ATTACHED TO ANY AND ALL FREE OFFERS. The inability of some people in this world to make informed, wise desicisons never ceases to amaze me.

sir/madame you are the scam. first of all you cannot spell. and second of all use some common sense dude/missy. the company isnt just gonna track the package to your house and then start their timer for the 15 days. they have to go general and say that the 15 days start on the order day. your intellegence really shows where our country is heading these days. everyone knows we live in dishonest time but in this capitalistic community we must learn to be go-getters. not desperate quacks trying diet pills. just get up off your lard rear and play some soccer, or if you are too fat just walk or use a treadmill. I am dissapointed in your decision to try this product. good bye hand have a really fun day

Cecilia:
The terms and conditions are available on the website 24 hours a day. There is an asterisk next to the Risk-Free Trial Banner that directs you to the bottom of the web page. (Usually, when I see an asterisk, I scroll to the bottom, and then I read about what I'm getting involved with BEFORE I put my credit card information in.) The terms and conditions link is right there. Happy reading!

VERY IMPORTANT! PLEASE READ THIS!
IF YOU READ THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS IT STATES THAT YOU WILL BE CHARGED AFTER YOUR TRIAL PERIOD. AND IT ALSO STATES IN THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS ABOUT THE WEBSITE THAT IS A TRIAL AND YOU WILL BE CHARGED FOR THAT AT THE END OF YOUR TRIAL. IF YOU WANT TO CANCEL- YOU MUST DO THIS WITH IN YOUR TRIAL . IF YOU CALL WITH IN YOUR TRIAL, YOU WILL NOT BE CHARGED FOR YOUR TRIAL BOTTLE NOR YOUR WEBSITE MEMEBERSHIP- POEPLE WHO THINK THEY ARE BEING SCAMED DO NOT READ AAAALLLLL THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS BEFORE THE CLICK THE SUMMIT BUTTON. I CALLED CUTOMER SERVICE AND SPOKE TO A REAL NICE PERSON AND THEY EVEN OFFERED DISCOUNTS ON THESE PRODUCTS FOR THE TRIAL AND FUTURE SHIPMENTS. ONCE AGAIN...JUST READ THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS BEFORE YOU ORDER AND WHEN YOU CALL THE CUSTOMER SERVICE NUMBER- DO NOT YELL AT THE CUSTOMER SERVICE REP, THEY ARE ONLY DOING THIER JOBS. THEY WILL WORK WITH YOU TO MAKE YOU HAPPY, JUST BE NICE AND POLITE AND CALM, REMEMBER, IF YOU DID NOT READ YOUR TERMS AND CONDITIONS, IT IS NOT THIER FAULT IF YOU FEEL SCAMMED- IT IS YOURS. AND DO YOU PEOPLE THINK THAT ANYTHING IS ACTUALLY FREE ANYMORE? COME ON.

I want to know if anyone has been successful in disputing charges against the Acai Advanced company? I have disputed the charges with my credit card company and would like to file an official complaint with the BBB but the names Live Lean and Acai Advanced do not pop up on their website.

I am also debating whether or not I should file a complaint with small claims court for the $165.80 in surprise charges I received on my last bill.

Their website says - "100% satisfaction guaranteed" and nowhere does it say that they do not remit any refunds or returns - which is what they told me on the phone.

You do not have to agree to terms and conditions on their website, they hide them and place them strategically at the bottom of the webpage so that you cannot see them.

Its fraud in its worst form and I feel completely helpless. Isn't there anyone that can help the consumer?!

I gotted scammed as well from Acai Advanced. After ending the product, they starting charging me 24.95 a month for an internet weight management program, they said was in the agreement on the internet when I purchased the product. When I said I did not know anything about this and did not want this sevrvice, they would not credit me the 49.90. This is deceptive advertising, this company is corrupt and should be out of business for keeping people's money who did not use their services.

I feel like a fool. These ACAI products are misrepresented on Websites. I am now unsure which website I ordered this product from, But ACAI got me and they refuse to give me a refund. The ACAI Advanced was advertised as being free. I was billed yesterday almost $90.00 for a bottle of pills and a work-out plan that I never used. I can't understand how this company is misleading people and getting away with it. I did not even have the product 15 days. However, ACAI now states it is 15 days from your date of purchased. I have the Corporate Address to file a complaint. I will be reporting them to the BBB as well. I am unsure if this action will guarantee me a refund but I will give it try. Do anyone have any other suggestions on getting a refund (without having to spend more money on a Lawyer)?

This is exactly what happened to me. They told me that I didn't call within the 15 days. Paige said let me speak to my supervisor. She came back and send they could not refund me. They charged me $64.95 for a product I never received and $24.95 for some kind of Vita Program. When I asked to speak to her supervisor she said that there was none available. When I asked her how she spoke to her supervisor she said that she had to interrupt him and would not transfer me to him.

I agree, this whole company stinks. They lure you into to the trial offer & then you're slammed with the charge for a whole bottle. I was one day off of the 15 day "trial" period and they wouldn't budge. If the product is so great then why only give a customer 15 days to try it! I plan on making a complaint with the better business bureau in Maine. They need to stop ripping people off in these tough economic times. I sure learned my lesson, Dr. Oz must have used a different product & company because this item wasn't so impressive, nor was the company. Might have to call channel 4 news in NY and have them look into this scam.

I too bought into the "free" item. I had charges on my account for5.95, 64.95 and 74.90. I contacted the company and was told I couldn't get my money back but could cancel. I contacted the Better business bureau. Today on my bank statement I had been credited for all three amounts. My original order was with Acai Advanced. I recently refused a shipment that was sent to me.

I agreed to the "free" trial...one bottle, one shipping charge! That some day I followed up with the confirmation e-mail and submitted a cancelation for the subscription that I was "automatically" signed up for. Exactly 19 days later I was charged 64.95. Fow what? The only available contact for the company is an 888 number that is customer service that can do nothing but offer an e-mail address to dispute charges. My bottle is unopened, yet they still will not take it back. I DISCOURAGE ANYONE FROM USING THIS PRODUCT SIMPLY BECAUSE THERE IS NO ACTUAL LIVE SUPPORT; JUST A TELEPONE PROCESSOR TO TAKE YOUR MONEY. The number to cancel [protected].

I just got off the phone with Acai Advanced, what a scam. I also thought I had called within the 15 day cancellation period to cancel. Unknown to me at the time I was still signed up for the Vita Live Lean program, which I don't even know what that is. When I got on my credit card account today there was a charge for $24.95. I immediately called to see what this was for. They gave me the usual double talk. I was furious, asked to talk to a supervisor, which was futile. I told him they were very disceptive and I would be calling the Portland, Maine Better Business Bureau, [protected], which I will be doing as soon as I finish here. People need to not take this kind of crap any more. We need to speak out about these companies that take advantage of hard working people. I too will be very hesitant to ever order anything like this again.

Your right its a scam! I wish I would have read the warnings before I tried. It made me sick and they still have charged me twice! Everytime I try and call they say sorry no record of you calling. I disbuted the charges and they fought them! Great customer service, right? They should be shut down!

Agree with you all. After just getting off the phone with "Alex". The line rang forever before it was picked up. I told her I was canceling becasue nothing was said about me being automatically enrolled in a program when I ordered the $5.95 shipping "free" sample. she wanted me to try it for the full 2 weeks. Why, so it would be to late to cancel? She reluctantly agreed to cancel and put me on hold for a long time for what I don't know. She did give me 2 caneclation numbers and said she didn't know what the RMA number was unless it was the cancelation number. She wasn't acting right and I have a feeling this won't be the end based on previous comments. Unfortunately I used my bank visa debit card. I guess I'll have to get another one issued.

I have had the same problems that all the rest of you are having. This is my third site of writing information on this company. I am not so disappointed that the product made me sick because it is not indoresed by the FDA. However I am extremly disgusted at the company. They need to extend the trial time to 30 days like a normal company that believes in its product. They also need to at least refund half the cost of the product for the customers that no longer want the product and are stuck with it anyway. They don't even want the product back. I got stuck for two extra bottles one of which was just shipped out for $75 a bottle, that is $150 I am out. This company needs to be shut down and their business values re-evaluated. I know I would never work for a company like this not even if I was about to lose everything. I am sorry I ordered this product.

From what I've been reading the last 1 1/2 hours, it sounds like a lot of people are getting sick from this. Obviously the way this product is formatted, people think that it is a ligitimate product with Ophra and Rachel Ray and the long list of people endorsing it. However, if you should decide to exercise your right to cancel, I would think you're only going to be out the 5.95 shipping and handling. This is not the case however, because there is no website and ther is no way to contact customer service. Haven't you read that they don't answer the phones anymore? On top of all that, You start getting charges that you didn't authorize. So I don't really think that people are signing up for this to get ripped off. They think they are getting a 15 day trial that they can cancel. If you read any of these complaints, you would know that is n't the case. So don't come off with your superior attitude about taking ownership of your actions. This is a scam and there are a lot of victims. The company is the problem, not the victims. I don't know how you can work for such a ### company. I hope your perfect world crumbles when the attorny general is done with 3v marketing and it's unscrupulous employees like yourself.

how can you disagree? Look at all the people that are being charged for something they thought was a free trial with 15 days to cancel! Look at the people getting sick from it. This is a scam and I feel sorry for people that are victims to it. The company should get sued and fined for what they are doing. There is no web site and the customer service no longer answers the phones. So people can't discontinue before the "20 day trial period" Are you sure you don't work for the company?

I agree with the comments posted. I have just cancelled my "subcription" with Acai Advanced "Rip Off". They offered me a 25% discount if I would stay but would not offer the 25% as a refund. So I'll have to eat $74.90 in charges for the second shipment I received last week which I plan to flush.

Bottom line is I was stupid to fall for this. I felt like the Rachel Ray endorsement added legitimacy to this ad. MS Ray should take legal action for them using her likeness.

I have also been trying to get ahold of an associate for 2 days and have been on hold for more than 25 minutes. I got suckered into trying the supplement. I haven't even opened the bottle because I want to send it back so they do not charge my account. I may just change my whole account like Rita did, just so they can't charge me and I will be done with this ridiculous scam. NEVER AGAIN...

Unfortunalty my husband and I have fallen victim to the same problem. I did mapquest the address I have on my shipping statement which is ACAI ADVANCED 41 Canal Street, Lewiston ME 04240 and it did come up. We have had the same problems and have not been able to get through to cancel our unauthorized enrollment with ths company. I knew right away when I received the inserts with the product that this was a scam because it stated we were "automatically enrolled" which stated previously by another victim was not on the website when you order online. I am furious and will be going to my bank tomorrow to block this merchant on my account. This has to stop. This is a crime and they should be punished!

This company is scamming everyone. It takes about 2 months to catch up with their scam and then they have already charged your account. Then they hide behind their "policies" which are not clear and meant to mislead. I tried to contact them and gave me this same website, which was bogus. They are making cancelation so difficult that they get a couple hundred dollars from everyone. When you try to cancel they make it so difficult to contact them and provide no cancellation information on their website. Their customer service representatives are so rude and their supervisors are incompetent. There needs to be a class action suit to shut down slimy companies like this.

I can agree with everyone on this website complaints about acai advanced, they don't tell you that there will be any further charges up front they are all in fine print where your not looking, I called their number and got hung up on, called back and the girl said that they cannot give the money back for any of it, they charged my card $24.95 for some stupid subscription never recieved any information on that. I told the girl that I was reporting them to the BBB and she gave me info on getting a refund back with a long process to do so. I have called and canceled my credit card so they cannot take any more money from me, I suggest to anyone who is planning on getting the free trial stuff online, use a visa gift card not a bank card and make sure there is only that amount on card and dispose of it soon after for these reasons listed here and from other people above.
I have bought many of things online and have never had this problem before, who ever had or is having problems with this company call BBB on them after a while they can shut them down or fine them for it.

I am glad I read this as well. But sounds like there are so many companies involved using the Acai name, not just one. I have checked a couple of websites from different companies with similar products. And as consumers we all should be reading the terms and conditions and know what we are buying before placing any orders.

I have encountered the same problem. I did cancel the product, sent it back according to their instructions and over a month later saw charges on my card from Live Lean. I was able to get a full refund as the agent said my "account was created improperly." I purchased Nature Cleanse at the same time and my fight with Pure Nutrients is ongoing...with less success. I also have learned a valuable lesson about these internet scams. I thought I was too smart to get scammed, but apparently so are a lot of unsuspecting consumers. These companies should be fined for fraudulent business practices.

Beware of this scam.
I ordered the free trail of the ACAI ADVANCED . The only thing they said you would be charged for is $5.95 shipping. I called to cancelled it within the trail period and could not get anyone to the phone .I call today and got this guy and he gave me two #'s that I cancelled but said nothing about sending the bottle back. I told him I was going to send this page and other pages to the BBB and to the site that I seen the advertisement on. He told me to send my complant to the Corporate office at P.O. Box 17855, Portland, Maine 04112. I was told to send a letter with my complant, bank or credit card statement and black out everything but the charges from ACAI ADANCED and LEAVING LEAN and a day time phone # and give permisstion to leave message. I do not know if it will work but I'm going to try. Lesson learned DO NOT USE BANKCARD so you do not have to close account and open new one. I also had the same problem with the Nature cleanse but they said they would refund half my money after I gave them a ear full (don't know I will see)they said it would be 7 to 10 days.

i disagree about the company being sneaky.when i ordered this product, ill admit, i was skeptical. When i was ordering i read my terms and conditions. when the pills didn't get to me within a week i called the company and they extended my trial period. I agree about the alternate website here, but come on people, don't WE ALL KNOW TO READ THE FINE PRINT? If you didn't know before you tried this product, you surely would have had the same experience with almost ANY other company on the internet. People confuse FREE TRIALS with FREE SAMPLES. These are two completely different things. I tried Acai Advanced as well and had very pleasant interactions with their Customer Service. The product didn't work for me and I was provided with return instructions immediately. I sent it back and was never charged. I knew about the Live Lean site because they sent me an email about the instant I signed up for Acai Advanced. So, if you read your email you would have known about it. Sneaky, yes, but in the end we as customers are ultimately responsible. Now I have dealt with many sneaky companies, but in all honesty, I think this business is legit. If their product worked better for me I would have stuck with them for sure

I e-mailed them right after not getting the pills for 3 weeks and told them to take me off of their list, not to e-mail me anymore and I never got the pills.

The sent back a not 2 weeks later that they were deducting $24.95 from my credit card. The next day the added a $64.95 charge for what ever. I called my credit card company and 1 - got the charges taken off and disputed and 2 - blocked that company from ever charging my card again.

These guys should go to jail.

I also e-mailed intelicast.com and told them about the fraudulent advertisement they had on their site. I will keep you posted

I have not purchased this product. I am thankful for those who have shared warnings. Thank you! My complaint is that the links to these online fraudsters is on websites like Weather.com. That is where I launched my inquiry into this type of product. First the link lists a person in your area that has lost weight with a note below the link that it is affiliated with a star like Rachel Ray. Once you are on the site via the link from Weather.com...it says it is Alyssa's Rachel Ray Blog Site. That alone is fraudulent. Then there is a link at the end of her weightloss story to the Acai Advanced website where you are sure to be trapped unless you investigate…which I did by first googling the product name...Acai Advanced. Then I saw the complaint board link below the Acai Advanced company weblink and began reading the posted complaints. Thank goodness the complaint link is right below. It pays to read the complaints to avoid the folly. I am sorry for those who are fighting this...but thanks again for sharing a warning. I feel that websites like Weather.com who permit these fraudulent links to be on their website should be accountable. I will email them. Others should do the same when they experience bad links within a reputable website. This links are misleading and hurting the unsuspecting.

How can Customer Service be helpful when they do not answer the 888 phone number provided in terms and conditions? This is where the scam happens. If you're a consumer who reads terms and conditions carefully, this product purchase "appears" safe. However once you try to exercise the right to cancel after the free trial, this company is mysteriously unavailable to handle your call. Do not agree to the free trial of Acai Advanced, it will cost you a minimum of $69.00.
