This review was chosen algorithmically as the most valued customer feedback.

I purchased a HID headlight kit from this company on eBay. The kit was $239.95 plus $40 for shipping. I chose this company because of the price, and the fact that they offered a One Year Warranty on the item.

They recommended professional installation, which I did. It cost me $125 to have the lights installed. After less than two months, the lights started malfunctioning. They wouldn't go on properly unless you flicked them on and off many times.

I brought my vehicle back to where I had them installed, this cost me another $60. They took everything apart and double checked the installation. They confirmed that the bulbs were not operating properly and they needed to be replaced.

I emailed 4 Car Option. No reply after a week. I emailed them again. No reply after another week. After almost a month of me sending mail, someone replied and tried to sell me the bulbs, even though there was supposedly a One Year Warranty. He also told me the warranty was void if they were not professionally installed, which was not the case, because i have $185 in receipts from a professional installer. Their ad, as I tried to explain to them, says multiple times that they are covered by a One Year Warranty. It even says to 'BID WITH CONFIDENCE'.

After much back and forth, the company refused to stand by their product. I am going through with a Small Claims case, which I know I will win because they are from California and will not show up. I am suing them for the cost of the lights, the installation cost, the follow up at the installer, and the time lost from work, and emailing them, as well as court fees. So I will end up winning a judgment against them for well over $500 that they could have easily fixed by standing by their warranty and replacing the defective parts.

My goal in this is to prevent other people from getting scammed by 4 Car Option and if they are or have been, do not be afraid to pay the small cost to file a claim. No one should fear buying off the internet and having to deal with this type of company.

Agree with your post. I am going through the same problem with them when I'm trying to warranty the fog lights I purchased from them last year. They say not to worry and buy with confidence but will not warranty or stand behind their product as stated in their ebay auction. I have been trying to warranty my fog lights for past 2 months and the only reply that I received from them is that they cannot find my transaction. That's after I've send them the paypal transaction #, ebay auction # and even the shipping label that was on the box which was delivered to my door. I REGRET doing ANY business with them and only hope to warn the next consumer that may be interested doing business with them. PLEASE BE AWARE THAT THIS COMPANY IS A FRUAD AND WILL NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCT OR THEIR WARRANTY.
