Yun Nam Hair Care review: persistent hard selling and disregard of potential treatment cost 11

I have been a customer of Yun Nam Hair Care Singapore for a few months and was lured in with their treatment session package. At the beginning, I thought it was quite reasonable to take few sessions and to expect a good result out of it. They also provided an instalment mode of payment, and this is how they lure people to think that the cost is bearable per month.

But, eventually every month they keep on trying to sign me up for more and more sessions at about S$2000 - S$7000, depending on the number of sessions. This is done via persistent hard selling and persuasion in response to my psychological condition.

One session could be at S$200, and they would offer you various types of treatment combined in a day. In my case 55 days of 4 sessions of treatment at around S$200 /session will amount to S$44000. That is why it becomes expensive.

Other than hair treatment sessions, they sold hair a product at around $4000 / box of 20 bottles. Which initially I was stupid enough to accept the idea of around $200 / bottle approximately, but afterwards, it really is just a way overpriced hair product. Why should they have the privilege to sell at this price?

Even though there is a slight improvement in my hair condition. This result, could actually be achievable without such high treatment costs. It's just about consistent and dedicated care, and it's not about applying magic potion to my hair. In total I have spent about S$48000 in credit, some are paid over 3 years, and some are 2 years. It's almost equivalent to buying a car I guess.

Given that they charge a really high price. I would suggest that there should be a way to audit the quality of their hair treatment, business operational procedures and customer management of these types of hair treatment business. Also most importantly there should be a way to protect the customer from unconsciously spending too much money on this.

Why are they being advertised everywhere and people went by and never thought about it?

Most people who went there are not patients who need a surgery, these are just people who would like to try to improve their hair condition, so the claim that we urgently need all these treatments could not be proven. Also are they licensed doctors who is a specialist of hair condition?

Hi all,

I don't usually give nasty feedback but this time I am pissed with Yun Nam Hair Care, every time I turn up for my treatment they always hard-sell packages to me, it is very annoying, I do agree that my hair has some problems to be fixed but packages after packages are ridiculous and their charges are so bloody high. Please do not visit them to get your hair fixed, every session I am just damn irritated, I do acknowledge that if you don't solve the problem on your hair it might worsen but at the expense of $10,000? is just bloody ridiculous. Word of advice stay away from this brand.

Hi,

Check the behind of your payment receipts, there u can see the refund policy. Try to make a refund if you need. I once got a refund using cool off period (refund within 5 days of the payment. no cancellation fee.) In my case I cannot fully refund. They charge cancellation fee of 20% from the remaining sessions.

This is my worst experience in life. I really do not like to go there(still got around 15 sessions left). I am getting new hair problems every month. Please do not go there anyone...

I also a customer and still getting treatments for hair loss due to dandruff(about 15 more sessions left). I once refunded a package since I felt suspicious about their behavior and I got a new hair problem each month. I want to know Will I be get more critical hair problems like fungal infections/ grey hair in coming months. Really appropriate your thoughts since If I will get as same experience as yours its better to stop treatments from them and request for refund. I already spent $7000 + and will not spend any $ for them. Thanks

Hi, I'm also a customer of yun nam and I wanna stop going there but do you know how do I cancel all my treatment, I had enough of their [censored], I'dont mind not getting my refund back, I just wanna stop going there, my recent consultation with them, they force me to buy another treatment again and this is not the first, it basically every month with new excuse about how poor my hair is, but I manage not to buy it and I was kinda throwing tantrum at that point of time, after not buying it, the staff show some bad attitude toward me, I don't give a damn about it, I just walk off from the place, I planning not to go there anymore, any idea how to cancel my treatment, if not I'm gonna ghost them already

In my case I already paid as installments. but after the payment i realized they are fooling me around so I asked to cancel because I have no money to pay for next installment and got a full refund. (they took some cancellation fee also). I somehow took the service for my initial payment. They never stopped hard selling to me. but now I know how to handle this situation. cheap people, cheap business to fool innocent customers

I am also a Yun Nam Hair Care customer and yes i would agree with you. They really hard sell their packages once every couple of months and each time it cost at least a few thousands. They will find all sorts of issues with your scalp every few months and get you to purchase their packages. To prevent you from leaving, they will usually ask you to go to the consultation room half way during your treatment wrapped up using a towel without washing your hair. In the room, they will try to explain the issue with your scalp and try to persuade you to get their package. Even if you show no interest, they would just go on and on. Wasting at least 30 mins to 1 hour of your time. Seriously, they are really using psychological tactics against customers. If you find the packages too expensive, they will advise you to take half first. After you signed up for the package and make payment, they will then tell you that after checking they can offer you a further discount if you consider taking the other half. Be mindful before you step into Yun Nam Hair Care as a customer. Unless your pocket allows you, otherwise I would strongly suggest to abstain from going in.

Hi

I'm currently facing the same issue as u now.I'm really at a loss. Everytime i give in to them i came out of the shop thinking why am i spending so much money here.

Previously I have rejected multiple times but the consultant tone wasn't nice to me.

I'm very stressed out by this matter. Everytime i go there for treatment, I dont even feel relax. I actually felt stressed like thinking whether she will ask me go to the consultation room later.
