I recently had a frustrating experience with Young Living Essential Oils. I had made a return and was told that the item was not returned. I was disconnected from the chat and had to start over with a new representative. I was ready to report the company for theft. However, the new representative, Vahan O, was helpful and patient. He asked for my member number and PIN and looked into the situation. He informed me that the money was put back on my card on February 20th. I was surprised because I did not see the full refund credited to my account. Vahan O explained that only three items were credited and the diffuser was not included. I was upset because the diffuser was broken and I had to pay to return it myself. I had to pay $25.25 to return all of the items. I felt like I was being stolen from by the company.

I was transferred to another representative, Jaxen D, who was also helpful. He offered to send me a replacement Aria Diffuser, but I did not want a replacement. I had already paid to return the item and did not want to pay again. Jaxen D informed me that because the diffuser was used, they could not give a refund for the item. I was frustrated because I had informed the previous agent, Katie, that the diffuser was broken and I could not even get it to start. I was given return authorization by Katie. Jaxen D informed me that they could place a credit on my account for the item returned. I was not satisfied with this solution because I felt like I was being lied to. I had tried to use the diffuser, but it was broken and shattered. I was not able to use it. I felt like the company was stealing from me.

I was transferred to another representative, Alyssa K, who was a supervisor. She informed me that if any part of the merchandise is broken, I should let them know within the first 5 days of receiving it so they can arrange a refund or replacement. She informed me that they have a record from the warehouse that the Aria lid was broken but clearly used and stained with oils. Even if I turned it on and tried to diffuse oils, that is considered used. I was frustrated because I had informed the previous agents that the diffuser was broken and I could not even get it to start. I was given return authorization by Katie. Alyssa K informed me that a refund will not be issued, but she would look into getting a credit for the diffuser because it is quite expensive and I did return it to them. I was not satisfied with this solution because I felt like the company was stealing from me.

Overall, my experience with Young Living Essential Oils was frustrating. I felt like the company was stealing from me by not refunding me for the broken diffuser that I had to pay to return myself. I was given return authorization by Katie, but the company did not credit me for the item returned. I felt like the company was lying to me and not following their own policies. I will be disputing this charge with American Express and filing a complaint with BBB. I hope that the company will take responsibility for their actions and make it right.
