Used Yard Card financing for Mowing equipment. I receive statements on the first of the month and mail them out the next day and they are due by the 16th every month. On 4 separate occasions they did not receive payment by due date and charged me a $35 late fee. After the 3rd time I was fed up with it and sent a full payoff payment on the 3rd of this month. Now its the 17th and they still have not received payment and now have charged me another $35 fee. I mail all my bills for mowing equipment by mail and none of which have ever been late. I have researched complaints by other clients of Yard Card and I found hundreds of the same complaint. Forced late fees due to not receiving payments in time. Something has to be done, this can't be legal. They are robbing people.

I am sorry to report that its now the end of 2013 and Yard Card continues the late fee scam. I pay my bill via on-line bill payment. Have scheduled it to be paid 10 days prior to due date. Bank mails the check 5 days prior to that and Yard Card still credits my payments as late. Not one other bill that I have paid by Bank of America has ever been late in the many years I have used their on-line bill pay service. I am going to report Yard Card to the Better Business Bureau.
