I work for a US based company and we placed an order to Shanghai Huanan Steel through Made-in-China.com. Total cost of product was $6408 and we transferred them $3204 on December 22, 2023. Transaction ID [protected].
Upon non receipt of items I contacted dispute1-at-Made-in-China.com on February 22, 2023 and Georgina asked me to pay the remaining $3204 for the order to be shipped. So we transferred them the remaining $3204 on February 22. Transaction ID [protected].
Now it’s April. Vendor is lost. Same Georgina is saying we are just a platform and not a party while I have it in writing from her to transfer the remaining 50% amount for the order to be shipped.
It’s not about vendor being at fault or otherwise, the platform needs to take responsibility and provide safety to customers. We don’t know the vendor as we are relying on Made-in-China.com while making the payments.
I hope someone responsible will look into it and customers will make sure that they work with Alibaba if the payment is large and need assurances of completion.
Desired outcome: Refund or delivery of items.
