www.bidmaxi.com review: Terrible penny auction 3

SCAM! Not my finest moment falling for an internet scam. I clicked on a link that promised super cheap IPAD2‘s. It brought me to a penny auction site www.bidmaxi.com. I signed up a new account, like an idiot with my credit card information. I did not read the terms of membership. They automatically charged $99.00 with a foreign transaction fee of $2.00. All for nothing. The chance of wining their auction is nil. Total scam website.

I have since tried to contact bidmaxi with out any response. The website has an email customer service that did not get back to me. Through my credit card company I was able to get a phone number to billing support. No answer! I tried to cancel my account via their website with no luck.

I had a bad feeling about this website before I signed up. I should have listened to my gut. At least it was only $102.00.

I agree that bidmaxi is not honest (they scam people)... Why are these guys using a foreign institution for accepting payment from their members? These guys are from Nevada, USA . Unless they miss-represented themselves.
FYI... IMPORTANT!
I just received notice from my financial institution that a charge of $74.99 was applied to my account. There was no business name, so I didn't know who was charging me. But there was a phone number, and so I checked out the number. It belonged to bidmaxi.com. I had checked it out last month but had not removed myself from the site as a member because I still had bids to try to win something with. At least when I left bidmaxi last month I still had about 125 bids. But my account said I had ZERO bids remaining. I even verified the bid total by the websites logs. Oh well, I removed myself from bidmaxi as a member and I am trying to notify as many people as possible that they might also be in for a shock with the new $74.99 monthly membership fee for a penny auction site. What a joke... Membership fee for a penny auction website... And they still have the nerve to charge $0.60 per bid.
There are a lot of people that will check with the BBB to see if bidmaxi is safe or not. Here is a shocker for you. The BBB actually gives bidmaxi a B rating. That means that people are not reporting what has happened to them to the BBB. I wonder how many checked prior to joining bidmaxi only to discover that it is not a safe website. I also wonder if they filed a complaint with the BBB or if they (we) did nothing like the people before. ? In order to get rid of these websites we all have to start doing something about it. Even if it means we have to spend some time filling out a form.

>>Site access requires active membership. Membership entitles you to a 50% discount on all bid packages. Monthly membership cost is $74.99 and is automatically renewed unless membership is cancelled. Cancellation of membership will result in immediate account termination and forfeiture of any bids purchased.

They make $0.60 per bid on their site. Right now, a 55 inch TV is up to $75 in bids. This is close to $5000 already spent to purchase this tv by hundreds of users before the auction is even won. They have taken surplus items and figured a way to earn more than retail prices for them. Once this auction is finally 'won', the 'winner' will have to pay the winning bid, and shipping. All this on top of the thousands of dollars already spent on bids. Cheap items? I don't think so.
