Wolverhampton University review: Study fee fraud at law school

Was an online distance learning student at the Wolverhamton University Law School in 2020 on the heavily marketed distance learning course for the UK bar, for full time working students who cannot afford to spend all day in the classroom.

What can I say? After a brief introductory Zoom call and getting enrolled in the online learning portals all I was left with the study, was a bunch of slides with bullet points only in them and sporadically recorded videos of lectures.

Lecturers hardly respond to emails and calls as all their attention is directed at classroom students.

International department could not get a proper hold of the lecturers and told ONLINE distance learning students to try their own luck and chase the lecturers up themselves. PHYSICALLY.

Despite me having paid 8K GBP and using all cases and responses I could find from the slides and videos, I failed (or was failed) in 70% of the exam subjects.

When I inquired about whether I could see my exam responses to see where I went wrong, after a whole month of going back and forth I was finally sent a couple of scanned pages (only 2 lecturers responded out of 6!) with a few random comments on them, not explaining much.

And NONE of the lecturers agreed to give me ANY specific feedback!

So to this day I do not know where I went wrong, I only know I failed most of my exams.

Do NOT go to this uni unless your parents know most of the teachers personally and they can verify your perfect Oxford accent in the classroom. Only then will they give you proper attention and help you actually graduate.

My experience is that they perpetrate huge fraud on international students, make them fail again and again so that the uni keeps big money coming for exam re-sits and module re-takes (each of those is a cost item in the thousands of GBPs).

Your hard earned money goes to the uni staff pockets so that they can make you fail AGAIN and AGAIN.

Do NOT go near them.
