Wholesome fruits, LLC and its owner, Troy LaCoe and Ops Manager Elmer Fleenor, have refused to pay money that they owe for sevices renedered over 4 months ago. This copmpany owes me around $400 - $600 dollars for work that I did for them. I was promised $200 for training in which I did all the work and another $250-$350 for running a fruit and flower route (rtes #110 & #150). This involved driving my own vehicle, using my own gas and paying out of pocket expenses to buy product. I drove approximately 500 miles. They kept the money that I earned for them and payed me nothing. They refuse to pay me ANYTHING even after several communications with them. This company delivers apples, bananas and flowers to gas stations. These people need to held accountable for thier actions.

I agree 100 percent. I am so sorry you got involved with this ruthless bunch. They are a disgrace to every legitimate company. Someday they will get what they deserve - I would not want to be in thier shoes. Good luck to you and I hope you recover from all the damage Wholesome Fruits has caused you.

The people working with Wholesome Fruits are contracted drivers. This person breached their contract. Wholesome has almost a 90% retention rate with drivers and a 78% retention working over 3 years. Sounds like this person is just trying to create a stir.

I and another fellow employee just had the same exact thing happen to us! They refuse to pay us what they even promised for training after we did everything we were asked.

I'm thinking of getting a job with this company. What route area did this happen in? Should I seek employment with them.

You do not want anything to do with this company, trust me. I have been contacted by others and the story is the same. I have no respect for anyone who cheats & steals other peoples' money to get ahead. The route I had was Route #110 & #150. If you look on Craig's list, you will see these routes keep popping up. Wholesome Fruits can not keep drivers. If you don't believe me, go into any gas station that sells his stuff in the Chattanooga area and ask how many different drivers have worked this (so called job) in the last year - it is unbelievable. Not only did this company not pay me for the work that I had done, it cost me money in gas and product that I bought out of my own pocket. Don't do it. I hope this helps.

These guys all Breached there contracts. They did not give written notice and obviously did not read there contract before they signed it. Below are a few of the paragraphs of the contract. We have nothing to hide. Basically if you give proper notice we incur no expenses so you are not charged. So you get paid. The people did not. Also they are more than welcome to pursue through the court system if the feel they are owed. I am sure they won't because they would end up paying our attorney fees when they lose. It it very basic----Do your work, abide by the contract and get paid. Simple. See below.

1. Term
This Agreement shall continue until it is canceled by either party by fifteen (15)
day written notice to the other party, or is otherwise terminated under the terms and conditions of
this Agreement. Either party shall have the right to terminate this Agreement immediately upon
a default in the performance of obligations under, or a breach of the terms and conditions of, this
Agreement by the other party.

9. Expenses.
Contractor agrees that any and all expenses not explicitly covered by Company
shall be the sole and exclusive obligation of Contractor. Contractor agrees to pay any Company
expenses incurred if Contractor breaches this agreement.

18. Attorney’s Fees.
If a suit is brought to enforce or interpret this Agreement, the prevailing party is
entitled to recover attorney’s fees from the losing party. This recovery is in addition to statutory
costs or other awards. The appropriate courts must determine the amounts. This provision also
applies to appeals.

Beware! This company targets people in duress in a very unstable economy! I have been woking with Wholesome Fruits LLC for the past 8 months. Within this time I have recieved 3 paychecks. I am responsible for providing my own gas, truck, & cost of products. The owner of the company or the area managers will not respond to my emails or return my phone calls regaurding checks promised to me.
Further more the job itself has been difficult for numerous reasons... I was never properly trained on any of the paperwork the company requires therefore Wholesome Fruits always has some lame excuse as to why the checks are being delayed. Delayed meaning NEVER came. Another aspect to take into consideration is that without paychecks it has been impossible to continue to run these routes without using my "bill" money & even utilizing the funds from the previos week!
At this time I have lost my apartment and my truck because of my dedication to this company & the belief that this could turn around. To show their apperciation they have threated to have me arrest for embezlement!
Anyone considering working for or doing business with company PLEASE BEWARE! They are very unethical

Hi I am so sorry to hear that this has happened to so many people. Me and my boyfriend are currently going through that now. He had to use my car because his was not reliable enough to drive a ridiculous 2000 miles a month. I am a college student and i had to have my car to go to school so he drove his for 2 days and blew his transmission! So, he turns his paperwork in last week and now we hear nothing from them and they are trying to say that he stole money "embezzled" money from the "company". Which is absurd because Troy approved every bit of what we took AND he took every bit of it out of his check at the end of the week! and we had to survive through the week! What are we supposed to do starve? These are seasoned scam artists. They are not going to intimidate me and i am prepared to play hard ball. So far we have spoken to lawyers, i am writing to congress, the governer, the DA's office, our areas representative from the house of representatives. I also personally know several reporters and newscasters very well and i am prepared to take this to the media everyone should contact an ON YOUR SIDE REPORTER. They do not want this much scrutiny against the company they will not want their business out there and besides if he were to take anyone to court his company would immidiately come under investigation and that is the last thing a scam artist wants! I am not playing around with these people. He can throw out the threat embezzlement all he wants but has he ever heard of withholding wages!?! And to be honest i just want to see him and his company and all his fake scams come to an end and that would satisfy me! We can join together and do something about this! these are ruthless, unethical, money hungry, greedy individuals that are taking advantage of innocent people in a recession to beat it all! everything everyone has said is 100% true! We can do something about this! We are Americans and we have rights and we have a system that we can use to work for us to protect us from evil people like this! I am furious and i will not let this go down. i dont care to put myself out there because i was not an employee of this company my boyfriend was! so please send me an email at katiebaby1808@hotmail.com thank you so much! God Bless you all!

This company is a fake. Troy is a goddamn liar and scammer. He creates this contract to target people who are looking for an honest job. He hides behind his religion and preaches all this good nature when in turn he is unethical and a cheat. I worked till I could no longer forsee the numbers working out for me anymore. You WILL NOT make money. You have to pay for everything, and there is many ways to lose money to this company. They penalize you for every and each thing they can make up. I worked for a couple months and had to quit. I gave a notice, and they held 3 previous weeks of checks I was owed. I returned their product and he claims I have $600 worth of merchandise. I have a signed ticket stating they picked it up. I even saw the fat [censor] come and pick it up while I was home. That [censor] still has my checks and won't give me my money. He will get whats coming to him. Karma is more powerful than whatever religion he prays to. Before I worked the route there was numerous people before me. All of the customers used to complain to me about him and his business. Too bad he's less of a man than me. He can't even fess up to his wrong doing, and won't even call you back. He's a cheat. He'll get what he deserves.

There are tons of family's that benefit because of this company and this man...all these negative comments result from lazy, uneducated people that go into a CONTRACT and then BREACH IT..and expect Mr. LaCoe to go away and still pay them when he has to cover the expense of supervisors to come in from out of town and run the route...the contract also clearly states you breach and not run you are also charged per missed stores for 15 days..that eats up two weeks worth of pay...thus you breach and you forfiet monies owed...and as far as not getting paid..once again do your job, send your paperwork in and you get paid...all of these so called complaints are the result of the complainers action...again numerous familes in the SE are cared for by Mr Lacoe... he is a Christian..but ignorance is bliss to some...so continue to spew the garbage that comes from your mouths...God will punish the ignorant!

Apperently John, you are an ignorant ### just like Troy. Maybe you should hold the bible up above your head and light it on fire. He clearly has taken alot from the people who worked for him. I even gave ample notice of my departure from the company and still was not given my 2 weeks of pay. He has no balls to pick up the phone and talk. Instead he hides. But whatever man. You don't know me. I am educated. Got a college degree actually. So why not meet face to face and I gladly school you in how it feels to be bullied by some so-called christain. Get a life. See ya around jerkface.

I can tell you from exp, that this company is ran badly, it is getting kicked out of stores and being run out of the business, The owner used to work for and do the pyramid type companys like Market america and am way, where 1 percent of the people there do well. he has employed that tact here. His new ops manager Doug is an acholalic and his car smells f weed (i have been to a controlled burn) . He flips out on his workers and yells and screams and act in the most unprofessional way. He use to be in the rent to own business and i have video of him getting mad and slamming things around. He does the dirty work, the type of things the owner want to keep his hands clean on. I recently quit due to my checks being short. I was not given a notice of this and should have been. the day beofre i worked 16 hours then drove to another 69 miles. when i tried to call someone for help noone picked up and they left me hanging. The contract driver gets charged a 25 percent company fee that prevents him from making money. He will say how much he cares for you and your well being but expecting someone to drive 400 miles on 3 hours of sleep is not caring for someone. no paying them is not caring.I had to leave my car at his house to bring product to NC, and he allowed someone else to use my car to run a route without my consent. i have things i am trying to return to him. but will not return emails or phone calls. but will state i stole them. when i did return the stuff they took they left the trash on my front step. i am very disappointed. i was a salary employee but when i had a family emergency and had to go home, i was told that it reflected badly on me and i was not paid. so sad. i have moved on i suggest you all do the same. God is greater than any evil. This company is not evil just greedy and not out to better anyone but themself. and they are failing at that. one final thing they will not give me a copy of the contract i signed.

This company has had many bad reviews. I have worked for this company for a long time. Things are not always perfect. We DO drive our own cars, thats because we are CONTRACTORS, we have a strict contract. Have I always received a check...maybe not IF i did not comply with my contract. I have worked along side of each of these former complainers...and truth be told...YOU broke your contract, STOLE the cash from this company, LIED to Troy and his supervisors...and then complained about it. YOU are the problem. MY complaint is that this company hires people who want a second chance at work when they shouldn't. MY complaint is that (because I know who "you" folk truly are) WE who have stolen from, lied to, deceived and manipulated this good owner have NO INTEGRITY. I am ashamed of even myself. When I have been dishonest, I have been shown grace. When I have kept their cash, I was GIVEN more and shown mercy when I did not deserve it. If you feel screwed over...then consider this...You have been shown grace by HIM NOT turning your sorry butt in to the cops. MY complaint is this...Troy is too much a man of his word. Maybe we could learn a little fom this and become better members of society ourselves.

I also work for Troy and Wholesome...I ran into one of those idiot thieves that stole money and did not comply with contract. He was ranting and raving on the company. I asked him if he worked out a notice and he said "hell no" and they screwed me out of pay. I informed him that non compliance with the 15 days notice meant he forfeited all money owed due to the lack of a notice...he showed his true colors and called me a thief also..go figure..these people that hide behind anonymous complaints have huge moral and ethical short comings...in fact they are predators looking for something for nothing...

Its ok, I've never worked for this company but I know someone who does and he told me how much Wholesome charges gas stations for fruit. I'm in the process of getting my license and undercutting. I only need a few of these accounts; i'm not greedy. some of you complainers
should do the same.

I also worked for Troy as a regional supervisor, as did my partner. I lost about 5k in a ponzu scheme with Troy back in 2012. The [censored] called me up 3 months later trying to sell me another pipe dream. This guy is BAD, BAD business. He exploits low-income individuals with a ridiculous work-load, lies about the potential income, and cheats his drivers out of their pay after placing them in a hopeless situation. We wrestle with this guy for years before opening our own business in his backyard and accruing over 160 accounts. His contracts are garbage, and his threats are harmless. Our attorney reviewed his contracts in detail after several of his drivers came to work for us. We take care of our drivers. Troy does not. He is one of these Amway guys. Multi level marketing. He uses religion around the clock to justify his unethical business practices. This guy is perhaps the worst businessman I have ever encountered, and he is extremely arrogant. Yes Troy, you are a bad person. We tried to warn you for years, and I have literally watched your company deteriorate. You will sell out your own mother for a buck. Shame on you. #falsechristian

This is not a bad company. It's a Christian company and they are honest in everything they do from what I can see. Troy could not run this company for 18 years if it wasn't legit. I kept the cash many weeks (which they rightfully took out of my paycheck) and they showed me grace. I made soo many mistakes and they kept showing me grace. Yes you get charged a 1% fee if you are late on your paperwork or if you miss a store. But that's only right, and it's part of the contract. I missed many stores and was late on my paperwork many times but Troy didn't charge me that fee until after several weeks of showing me Grace and not charging me the fee. I honestly think God is bringing Troy these people who are complaining about because THEY have issues and God is using Troy to help THEM. I think wholesome fruits is one of the best companies around chattanooga/Cleveland and I couldn't ask for a better job right now. This job has helped me get my life together and come out of a dark place in my life

I'm not sure if they r scammers or not but I see ads constantly for the route near me, which means they are either 1)scamming or 2) not good at screening either way, if there is a trend of bad operations without change, then it's almost certainly in the business to adjust their sop
