I purchased a sofa, love seat, and recliner from WG&R in Green Bay. The sales associate sold me the Ultra-Shield warrenty stating that any stain, rip, etc. would be covered by the company. About a month passed...Somehow, I dont know, there is a 1" rip in the face of the cushion of the sofa. I called WG&R and they said that I should get in contact with Ultra-Shield. I called them and they asked how the rip got there, I told them that I really did not know...So I was told that a claims specialist would be in contact with me within 7 buisness days...3 weeks passed. So I decided to call Ultra-Shield back. After waiting 20 minutes to talk to a specialist, I was told that I was denied my claim for the reason being I did not give them a specific cause for the tear. I DONT KNOW! I called WG&R back and asked if there was something they could do for me. They are going to refund me the $150.00 that I spent on the Ultra-Shield treatment. But no longer cover any kind of claim that I would use in the futre.
I bought the furniture under a promotion giving me a 42" LCD TV and the sales associate told me it would be delivered to my house with the furniture...Not so much. When the furniture arrived, there was no TV. I asked the delivery person about it, and he recomended that I get in touch with the store. I called them and they said that 14 days after the delivery, I would be getting a phone call from Best Buy notifying me to pick my TV up at their store. After that period of time, Best Buy called me and told me that my TV was ready to be picked up. I went to the store that afternoon and was told I needed a certificate from WG&R to pick up the TV. I WAS NEVER GIVIN ONE.
So, luckily the WG&R store was only a few blocks away from Best Buy. I went over to WG&R and asked the person at the front desk if I could have a certificate to pick my TV up. They told me I had to wait till the following day and pick it up somewhere esle...I WAS FURIOUS. I walked out, saying I was never going to do buisness with them. After a while I walked back in and demanded to talk to their supervisor...He was sitting there the whole time. He kindly said, "I'm the supervisor" I told him what my issue was, and he handed me a certificate for the TV.
My main point being here is...After spending that kind of money on furniture you would think that the service would be better than that. I will definitly never be going back to that store. There is a definite lack of communication and sloppy business practices. I hope this post will help someone out.
