This was just a terrible company to work with and I advise avoiding at all costs. If you don't feel like reading this whole post, to sum up: they would take weeks to respond to emails, no quality control on copywriting or links, and did not deliver on their promise of links staying posted for a minimum of 60 days. For more, keep reading...

They charged an incredibly high price for work that we essentially could have outsourced to an Indian firm for a fraction of the price. They never went through the efforts to actually understand what our business did and consistently misrepresented our company. Some of the worst infractions were describing and making anchor text that said our company provided "Outsourcing" services, when in fact, not only do we provide Sourcing services which is completely different from OUTsourcing, but these were one of our pre-determined keywords! How do you make that mistake after going through great lengths to do proper keyword research?

In one month, over 50% of the links they had posted in our name had been removed by site/directory owners if they had even been posted at all, and no efforts were made to replace these, despite their 60 day link guarantee. This is extremely disconcerting as they promise a certain amount of links however whenever we did any verification on our we would find that no such links existed. Thus if we hadn't verified they would have gotten away with posting no links at all.

Their quality control was terrible as, besides the misrepresentation of our business, there would be blatant grammatical and spelling errors in our ad and content copy. I can understand needing to help with understanding our industry, but we should not be having to check for such basic syntax problems. Also, their Client Center backend is terrible and, even though they advertise this as one of the advantages of their services, they explicitly admit that it is out of date with actual statistics and is in desperate need of an upgrade. Thus they offer alternative reports from Google Analytics for their end of the month reports (which they offer 3 different ones that happen to be totally incomprehensible and inconsistent).

Their social media efforts were startling in how poorly done they were handled. Our company provides China Sourcing Services but for some reason they listed our Facebook page to follow a host of pages from the Home Shopping network and related fashion pages, without once consulting us on this. Furthermore, every single social link they posted was taken down as spam given the low relevance and poor quality. Again, we never would have even found this out if we hadn't done rigorous verification, but of course this was only done after the damage had been done.

The worst part is that their communication was terrible. I would go for weeks without hearing from them as I had questions I wanted to ask, specifically pertaining to the things mentioned above. This was seriously a horrible experience. We had a 3 month contract, to address some of my complaints, they took an extra 5 weeks, and there were still only minimal improvements above the initial jump in month 1. Despite all of this, they plan on increasing their prices without any improvements in quality. Their only value was in putting a large number of junk links in a relatively short period of time, which of course you can outsource to an indian firm or contractors on oDesk for a fraction of the cost.

As in any scenario, there are always two sides to a story and I would like to offer WebiMax’s view on this complaint. The complaint outlined above doesn’t accurately describe the campaign in detail and fails to provide the actual results that were received during the 3 month campaign.

1) The client signed on and engaged WebiMax only to provide SEO based services for 3 months. The client requested additional services assisting with their paid search initiatives that were provided by another firm. WebiMax provided these “extra” services to the client at no cost as part of our “goodwill” towards our clients. This is not uncommon for us to provide service that goes above and beyond a client’s contract but in this case, I feel it is important to mention it as this point was not conveyed in the complaint above.

2) The client mentioned that there were “no results” via our efforts and I disagree with that statement. During the 3 month period we were engaged in this campaign, the organic traffic to the website increased 198%. Of the 6 keywords we were tasked to optimize, all of them did not show up in the Top 100 positions on Google at the start of the campaign but at the completion of our 3 month timeframe for our initial engagement, 2 of the keywords were in the Top 20 results on Google and 2 others were in the Top 30 results on Google. This momentum falls in line with our outlined expectation of seeing placement in the top 10 results in the 4-6 month timeframe. SEO is not magic, it is a process and takes time. The results that were realized in this campaign clearly show a natural progression to first page rankings and what would be deemed a successful campaign.

3) Regarding the discussion of the links being moderated off sites like Facebook, we explained to the client that this is common and that it was something that we couldn’t control. The issue seemed to be a level of understanding as to what is acceptable and what is not acceptable to social media sites. In turn, we provided the client with a 2 hour complimentary training on Twitter and how he could in turn use Twitter to provide a positive impact to his company. Additionally, we provided 150 additional links to him in an effort to satisfy his concern over the moderation of the other links. Again, this was gratis and in attempt to satisfy a customer.

While our goal is clearly to have only satisfied customers, I do feel that in this case, as in all cases with our clients, WebiMax goes above and beyond to ensure the success of their client’s campaigns. We work diligently on this campaign, communicated with the client frequently and delivered results in a short period of time. While the client referred to us as “terrible”, ultimately that is this client’s opinion and we have over 500+ other clients that have been satisfied with the level of service and results we have provided.

I stand by our service and the approach we take with each client. I feel we do all we can to make each of our clients happy and successful.

Sincerely,

Our company used WebiMax for almost a year and had the same experience as Bukco13. We have wrote reviews on other websites that got taken down. They made all kinds of excuses for poor results and the lack of project management. We have used several other large SEO firms and have never had such poor customer service, nonexisting project management, and not only did we not get the promised results, our rankings on other high ranked keywords also fell after using them. They placed links in bad directories and other websites that actually hurt our rankings. After one year with WebiMax, our contracted keywords ranked worst than when we started. They promised that our keywords would be ranked on page 1 after a few months. They are a scam. Their sales team is great at selling potential clients on their "unique method" and approach...they ask for your top keywords and then provide the quote and tell clients they can get all the keywords to page 1 in a few months. Once you sign up, no one ever talks to you again. Until you complain about links not working, or project manager is not in contact with you and no one is held accountable, etc. Once you complain, they will be on you offering a free month of service and/or extra services for free. The project manager you didn't know existed suddenly is all over it and the VP is contacting you with personal apology and it is all convincing. Then another few months go by and no results, no one giving you updates, and they charge every month like clock work. This company takes advantage of small companies and our lack of seo knowledge and/or lack of resources, uses aggressive and misleading sales tactics, and scams small businesses of hard earned money. Now we are worst off than when we started with WebiMax a year ago and have to pay another SEO firm to figure out what they did wrong and get us back on back. Webimax is great at getting bad reviews removed. When we originally did our research and saw that they were #1 on topseos.com and their salesperson was very convincing that their unique SEO methods would get all of our keywords to rank high on all search engines within months, we were impressed and went for it. Hopefully this review will not be removed (Webimax is great at brand management and protecting their "good" name and they are very litigious). For all those looking for a SEO company, beware. This company is a huge scam.

In response to the post above, the comments that are made are misleading and untrue. While everyone is entitled to their opinion, the facts that have been described are not an accurate depiction of our service. Our link building process is one of the most evolved and refined in the industry. Our sales team never involves misleading claims of "fast" results as Search Engine Optimization is clearly a service that does not provide overnight success, it is a longer term strategy. Furthermore, all of our contracts are set-up to be month to month and allow clients to cancel at any time, for any reason. Clearly, if someone felt they were not seeing the sort of results they had hoped for, they would have the option to cancel and move forward at no additional cost, no one is tied to long term contracts. I personally take great pride in the quality of our service and our goal is provide complete satisfaction to all of our clients.

I agree with all the complaints as well, especially the grammatical mistakes. It was as if a foreigner wrote it. Also both project managers I had quit the company. I was bounced around from one guy to the next before finally pulling the plug on Webimax. What a huge waste of money.

I am sorry to hear that the poster "Gatonegro" was disappointed with our services. While I clearly disagree with the thoughts on the quality of the service we provide, I would be more than happy to personally discuss and "make good" on any issues that they feel took place. I do, however, feel the need to point out that we have nearly a 98% client retention rate which shows others are seeing value and results in our service. I am committed to providing our clients with the highest level of return on our services and would welcome the opportunity to speak with any client that wished to discuss an issue with their service level.

Hi,
I've been with webimax since last year (both SEO and PPC) and have to say, I have never seen a company like this, and I will explain why. First a disclaimer, I am not to complain unless I am REALLY pushed to do so and this company has managed to do so!
1) at first I was with them for SEO services, in the 4-5 months that I was with them my rankings for many of my keywords actually started dropping. Their link building for example are bunch of comments (most of which with a no-follow!) at first they present you with all these fancy reports and spin it so it seems like you are doing great (in reality its the opposite) I remember I asked my account manager to tell me if they do PPC Management to which he replied and I quote "What is that?" Seriously? you are supposed to a SEO expert and you don't know what PPC is? unfortunately, I put that to maybe this guys is new and there are a WHOLE division for PPC so that must be good so after a few months that I was unhappy about their SEO (again my fault) I stopped my contract and joined their PPC side. to which I must be honest, the account manager of this side was very competent and did a great job until April 2012. at this point I decided to cancel my account all together (Note: you prepay each month they are working on your account so I had paid from April 8th to May 8th already) to my surprise though I noticed that nothing had been done on my account (adwords keeps the log) since the 16th of April and that the manager is telling me that even though there was nothing done the account rep that was in charge of my account was checking in on the account. again we had the worst month ever! Price per conversion reaching in high hundreds of dollars! When I asked for a refund for the remaining days that they DID NOT DO ANYTHING they basically told me that my contract says that they are doing good and they don't owe me anything.
Long story short, It is my personal Mission to go everywhere and make people realize who this company really is if you want, you should just burn your money with a match, its more fun and you get more out of it than these thieves!

Webimax is indeed a joke and just guessing at what will work for a SEO campaign on not. They are liars, they only have around 200 clients at a given time and only can keep folks paying for 3-4 months. That is when people realize they are dropping in their rankings.

I used Webimax as well for SEO services. I'm a small business and wasted a lot of money on nothing. Grammatical errors, an incompetent (but friendly) account manager. It was just a huge waste of money. I could've spent that money on a PPC campaign on my own.

As someone who also previously worked at Webimax, I feel Ken taking time to respond to these issues online and disprove their accounts of their own website's information is classic Webimax. As an hourly employee, I was told to stop once a certain amount of time passed for a given task, whether or not any results had been garnered. More time is spent on what to say to clients to convince them the efforts aren't being wasted. I personally feel a good solution would be to pay employees better wages, let some of the lower employees with work that has actually done something for the websites move forward rather than who is kissing up, and stop cutting down time to the amount of hours allotted. If the inbound department was better paid and knew what they were doing rather than being told to just do tasks, whether or not they even make sense, better results would come out of it. With the changing landscape of internet marketing, every piece of the machine is important and every part of the process counts. I was writing spam comments well after Penguin 2.0 hit the web, and then was told never to write the comments again. When I asked my manager what to do instead, I was told, "I don't know, you tell me." $10 an hour isn't enough to learned an entire system the manager doesn't care enough to bother himself with rather than insist memes are the way of the future while the entire company continues to do whatever it can to ensure there isn't a single result from any of the hours logged in. If you're looking for an SEO company, choose literally any other agency.

stop getting scammed by these so called reputation management companies that charge you before work is done. Its reports like these that give the entire industry a bad name and makes it hard for the "good guys" to do proper business!

give me a shout at: solutionreputation@gmail.com and ill take care of your online reputation at no charge until the entire situation is fixed! thats right, ZERO RISK, if im unable to perform, you dont pay me a single penny (95% success rate.) theres no point risking thousands and not getting anything for it!

I am purely result driven, this means you don't risk anything because if I'm unable to provide you the results, you dont pay anything! no catch, no risk, no setup fee, no deposit.

The good people are still out there, you just got to find them

I own an advertising agency and used Webimax for one of our larger clients. They were to perform SEO services. This was a long and very expensive project with absolutely zero positive results. I actually liked working with my Webimax representative. After a long 4 or 5 months of no results we stopped the campaign. I will give Webimax credit in that they admitted they were perplexed at the fact the results were not good. They continued to do research even after the campaign was over to see if they could offer a better solution going forward. There was not much that was added after that. They ultimately blamed the site(s) for having to much duplicate content. Why they didn't address that in week one is the big question. They were hired to analyze the site(s) and apparently they did not. I wish it would have worked because I did like the people. But lack of results speak for themselves. The writing for the websites was also very poor. I believe that could be a result of using contracted writers. The submitted additions and changes to the sites were so erroneous that I spent a great deal of time correcting. In short they are very expensive and the campaigns showed absolutely no improvement. This is a factual report on an actual campaign. Maybe it's isolated but based on the above comments -- apparently not.

I just had the same experience as many of the posters. Complete incompetence, but worse was they overcharged me $1200 per month (they charged me for Facebook ads they did not run) and then had the gall to tell me they did other services to make up for it...I have no idea what those services might be and I never approved them. Miserable company to work with and a total waste of money.

I also am a previous Webimax employee and can vouche for the above client complaints. This company does the bare minimum and does not give their project managers the training they need to perform their job well. Like others have said, most of the work they do can be done yourself or at the least outsourced for a much lower price. Webimax brags about being the best but the truth is they dont have the manpower or intelligence to be an industry leader. Don't waste your time or money here.

We were rip offed by Webimax this company is a scam just look it up and see how many people and companies have been ripped off by them. We have been in business for 12 years and we told them the keywords that we knew worked for us but they used the 2 keywords that were easy for them use but did not help us in any way! We also told them that we do not want to use Google Plus or Facebook because we have used these in the past and they did not help us but they tried using them anyway and we told them we wanted to cancel and we thought they owed us our money back but they don't see it that way...they just rip you off and go on to the next person and rip them off! STAY AWAY FROM THEM! For the month that they tried to do a post on Google Plus and then charged us $500.00.

Avoid this company at all costs. They promised me great results, had me speak with the CEO who confirmed it and said they were confident that their services would get me results. As soon as I made my first payment, a nice amount too, everything went downhill. One week late responses to my questions, very poor communication, unable to explain work clearly and just a complete nightmare. I decided to cancel after a couple months and cut my losses. Looking back at it and what was said prior to signing, the CEO is a con man and will say whatever needs to be said to steal your money.

Wish I found this board earlier. Signed up for their Lead Generation services a while back and was told I would get a certain amount of good quality leads each month. Was very skeptical at first, but CEO assured me they will deliver. All lies, all I got was junk leads. Told the person who was looking after our account and they had no real explanation apart from giving it more time. Eventually they stopped returning my calls and emails. Wasted money, lesson learnt.

The company I work for paid Webimax $6000 for 3 months of work. The contract we signed included review acquisition and monitoring, online listening, digital asset creation, authority building, removal outreach, and auto-suggest removal.

It has been three months and so far Webimax has created a WordPress blog that does not align with the style and voice of our company. They wrote 3 blogs for this WordPress blog. All of which I have had to edit down to the bare bones and basically rewrite myself. In fact, in the third blog post, they wrote our brand name incorrectly throughout the entire post. Also, only 1 of the 3 posts is actually published. Despite having heavily editing the second post and sending it back to Webimax for uploading on 9/13/19, it has yet to be uploaded. It is 10/1/19.

They've also written a "web 2.0 property", which was basically an article published to a website. The article reads like it was written by a fifth grader. The title of the article had to do with kitchen sinks, but the article itself focused mainly on kitchen faucets. It was confusing and included typos.

I've been working in internet marketing for almost 10 years with my main focus in SEO and social media management. We signed with Webimax so they could provide us with an extra boost, as our marketing department is understaffed. Despite the many positive reviews you will find online, I would absolutely not recommend Webimax to anyone.

Working with Webimax has caused me long-lasting depression. We gave this company $10k+ and got nothing but a broken website. Working with them was one of the worst business decisions I made
