11/14/22 - Called W.J. McNabb Plumbing ("Company") as it appeared water was leaking from water heater in utility space in my home. Technician (R.) said water leak originated from water heater; he replaced water heater at a cost to me of $1,069 for labor (water heater itself covered by warranty).

11/15/22 - Water still leaking - Water leak pattern on concrete identifical to the water leak pattern on concrete floor prior to replacement of water heater (photo attached). Called Company again and same technician (R) came - said prv gauge needed replaced; he replaced it a a cost to me of $481.00.11/20/22 - Water still leaking - took photo (attached) - water leak pattern on concrete floor identical to water leak pattern on 11/15/22 (Photo attached)

11/21/22 - Water still leaking - water leak pattern on concrete floor - identical to the water leak pattern on concrete floor as noted on 11/15/22 and 11/20/22. Two different Technicians (not Technician R.) from Company came - could not identify where water leak was coming from - said they would be back the next day and/or stated if I was able to identify where the leak was coming from to call Company.

11/21/22 - evening - heard water running - I was the only one home and no water was running - opened doors to where water heater was located - saw water running from what I learned later was the humidifier attached tot he furnace - took picture of water leak on concrete floor - water leak pattern was identicial to the water leak patterns as noted 1/15/22 and earlier on 11/20/22

11/22/22 - called Company - said I had identified the location of the leak. Original technician (R) and one of the technician's that came on 11/21/22 came - said that I should call a heating and cooling company of which they gave me its name and telephone number. Technician (R) said his Company would reimburse me for the cost of that service as he thought he may have bumped the humidier when installing the new water heater. (Photo attached)

11/22/22 - called heating and cooling company - they said the humidier pad needed replaced and a hose pushed in. I paid $126.00 (labor and pad). Technician said I never needed a new water heater or prvr - the issue was the humidier (he poured water from a gallon jug before rerplacing pad to show me how it was running over).

11/22/22 - called Company to request a refund of $1,550 for misdiagnosis of water leak issue. The owner of the Company stated water heater had to be replaced as it had water leaking inside the heater. He also contacted the heating and cooling company to confront them re: saying the water heater was not the source of the leak - Company said heating and cooling company denied saying that and that I was the one who stated that (this is not true - I will take a lie detector test if necessary). Impossible for the water heater to have been the source of the leak given that the photos I have of the water leak pattern on the concrete each and every time are identical. Company did not agree to refund my money. I asked him for the name of Company's lawyer - said Company did not have one and to direct communications to him.

11/22/22 I talked to a lawyer and he suggested first steps to file a claim with the BBB, then move to court action if needed.

Desired outcome: Refund of $1,550
