I purchased an electric wheelchair (verpal brand) online for a little over $1100.00 that came with a one year warranty. It started having problems immediately after purchase with the wheels dragging and abruptly stopping and not moving unless I shut it off and turned it back on again. I contacted the seller who told me I had to contact verpal who told me it was the seller that had to honor the warranty. Neither would comply. They dragged it out for an entire year until the warranty lapsed. Now the battery is also leaking and I cannot buy a replacement for it. In fact after communicating with them for over a year, all of a sudden they are telling me it’s not their product even though it says “Verpal” on the product and on the box it was shipped in. I cannot get anywhere with them at all. Since I have to have a wheelchair, I don’t know what to do about it. On their own website it says if the battery leaks it has become dangerous. Can someone please help me? Thanks
Country of complaint: United States
Claimed loss: $1100.00
Desired outcome: A replacement would be best since the wheels still drag, and at the least a new compatible battery.
