Velvet Muffins Cattery review: Beware of this breeder!

I purchased my ragamuffin kitten from Velvet Muffins Cattery. The kitten was flown in with a person, who handed her over in a carrier covered in feces and the kitten was as well. She never seemed to gain much weight but seemed happy. At 6 months of age, after being spayed the week before she never re-bounded. Within the week after the surgery, she was anorexic, lost weight and became sicker by the day. After tests and attempts to nourish her it was found that she was suffering from probable cancerous lymph nodes or liver, and possible FIP. She had to be euthanized due to increasing pain and weight loss.
The kitten was supposed to be guaranteed for health and personality. Losing her 3 months after getting her from this kind of catastrophic illness would seem to qualify for some kind of refund. I paid $2500 for the kitten, air travel and $2000 in vet bills. What I would like from Rinda is the price of the kitten. I was morally obligated to treat her and try to save her and I don't regret that money. Tina (Rinda's daughter) handled the adoption and is who I'm communicating with. I sent her the vet's report (at the vet's recommendation) and she has said we will not see one penny from her. A big turn around from "a passion in my life to minister to others" attitude they advertise.
I would like people to know before they buy, that there really is no guarantee from this Cattery. It's a lot of money for a family to pay for what they think is going to be a healthy kitten that they will have for a long time. And then lose them within 3 months and another $2,000.00.
