I am extremely disconcerted by the way VCA handled my pet's recent dental procedure.

(Rushing, lack of communication, not taking the time to explain what extractions were being done and why and also that a tooth fell out during the procedure... on a one minute call after the cleaning part and a lot more.)

On top of it, I have asked VCA several times to send me a copy of my pet's X-rays.

First (on/around 2/13/2024) I asked: VCA to send a copy of my pet's X-rays to another vet office (where I want to have my pet's dental x-rays reviewed).

The VCA employee advised me that they (the other vet) would only be sent two of my pet's x-rays from the dental procedure — unless they (the other vet) asked for additional ones. Even though I requested all xray's be sent to the other vet and me as well.

Furthermore, I asked that VCA send me a copy of my pet's xray's and was told by the same VCA employee that it could NOT be done, because of some programing issue.

Than I talked to another employee, who indicated it should be possible.

As of yesterday morning, no X-rays or records have been sent to the other vet. Nor have I received any of my pet's X-rays.

I feel I have paid for the X-rays and the dental services and should be able to have my pet's X-rays along with all of her medical records. (I have now sent in a medical records request to VCA, which I originally was told I did not have to do.) It is bad enough — I feel that the procedure was a nightmare, disheartening, very rushed, poor communication and now have lost trust with VCA.

Claimed loss: To be explained later

Desired outcome: First I would like a copy of my pet's X-rays and all medical records. I am trying to find a vet to explain what transpired during the dental procedure.
