Everywhere I walk in Jersey City and around Journal Square I see the mini-vans or the jitney buses that run through Kennedy Blvd., Bergenline, and New York idling for long hours in areas they are forbidden from parking, idling or even driving in. Even by where I live in the Summit Plaza buildings I see jitney buses idling and park by Hoboken Avenue in Hopkins Avenue.
I am not sure if they are allowed there but I feel that these buses should not be allowed to park where ever they want. Like the NJT the jitney buses should idle in the Journal Square bus terminal and wait their turn to offer service. They idle there with the cops doing nothing to make them move. Once a jitney buses sat there for 2 hours. It should not be excused.
