Bob Evans - Restaurant service and food.

To whom it may concern:

My family and I stopped in the Logan, Ohio restaurant today and we had the worst experience we have ever had with any Bob Evans restaurant. We were having such a great experience in the Hocking Hills region until lunch. Several things were wrong wrong during this visit.

First, when the hostess seated us: she said they had no utensils to eat with. We had to use plastics. No big deal. Next, we waited for 10 min before we were even greeted by our waitress. She finally came and took our drink and food order. (Madison) Our order consisted of two dinners, some side dishes and a kids meal. I had asked for rolls and extra order banana bread for my father to start and my mom ordered a side salad.

None of these things came until after the meal. My mom and son ordered baby carrotts as a side dish for their meal and they were dark brown/ bad in color. My mom asked for celery bread dressing and we flagged the waitress down three times and still never received that. We received no drink refills and the service was terrible. Food wasn’t so good either.

After mentioning to waitress several times she said she didn’t charge us for the dressing which was appropriate as we never received anyway. As I was paying the bill, Andrea (manager) asked me if everything was ok. I told her no as I was already upset that dinner and service wasn’t so good. I went back to the table to gather our belongings and Andrea then came over to the table and asked what was wrong we showed her the potatoes, salad, and both orders of carrots.

Then she said waitress was having a bad day so forth so forth and it was first week on job etc etc. To me that’s no excuse. Don’t take bad day out on your customers as well as there were several times she was standing around talking to “people” : therefore, she wasn’t even tipped. Which I feel really bad for. I am never the one to file complaints; however, however someone needs to do better training for employees before throwing them out on own and Educate the cooks If it’s not right don’t send it out of kitchen.

I understand that I am not a waitress or in food service. I am a nurse educator with the college; but I do know that this is not the way Bob Evans restraunts should be represented. The summer season is among us and the region will be busier than ever. I know that there will be a lot of business loss if Bob Evans presents it’s company as it did today. Thank you very much. Bob Evans - wait for food

We arrived at Bob Evans I Logan at 10:40, 20 minute wait to be seated which I didn't to k was too bad on a Sunday morning (today, sept 22nd). We waited 15 minutes for someone to get our drink order, another twenty minutes for food order. Our food arrived at the table 12:15pm. Waitress was friendly and apologetic. Obviously not her fault. But it was ridiculous to wait over an hour for food. Very disappointing. We were having breakfast with our daughter that goes to OU. We will not be returning and this is our frequent half way stop.
