I recently paid 239.00 for a one night stay at what I thought would be a nice place and got jabbed in my hand by a used needle that was under the mattress. First off this tells me two things right off the top and that is one this motel obviously does not change the bed linens (ive been a housekeeper for at least 10 years and have worked in nicer hotels and witnessed beds not being changed if they werent slept in) or else they would have found said needle and two it was clearly used and I need a doctor.
My first reaction was to go to thw office and tell the manager what happened and maybe get a different room but thw exact opposite happened - this [censored] accused me of putting it there and refused to give me my money back and then said he could call the cops and I said no im already on the phone with the sherriff office. I was only in this room for three hours so as a paying customer who is injured on the property, I feel the manager should have gave me my refund and the fact that he blamed me was outrageous. I called corporate headquarters and of course all they can do is give the guy a warning since he is a franchise and does whatever he wants behind the baymont inn and suites name. I am a victim in this entire incident and I want my money back. Im not afraid to go file in small claims court as this is now causing me time off work for testing and pain and suffering and whatever else my attorney wants to throw in. So either I sew my refund or sue for way more. Either way im the one living with mental anguish while awaiting lab results due to negligence of baymont inn and suites in delaware ohio.
