On 7/13/23 at 3PM I visited the W Tropicana location in Las Vegas location. The staff was courteous and service relatively quick for being busy. Unfortunately, 3 blocks after leaving my check engine light came on and smoke was billowing out of both tailpipes. I pulled over and waited for assistance. A family friend who is a mechanic said there was no leaking oil and no spilled oil. Oil was showing twice the amount on dip stick. Thinking that the excess oil was the problem, we drained the oil. The oil was black! We drained all oil and added new oil. It quickly became apparent that the old oil was never drained from the vehicle and new oil was simply added. I was without a car for 2 days, purchased new oil and took a few hours of a family mechanic's time.
I emailed corporate and they advised that the location is a franchise. The GM reached out on 7/17. I called him back twice and have yet to hear anything back.
Desired outcome: Refund of the visit, $160. The total included a $30 air fliter although I paid $35 for replacement oil.
