Wawa - Refund

Hello, today I had a horrible experience at Wawa, store # 983. I went in and purchased three items that came out to about $8.37, I gave the registrar a $100 dollar bill I asked her if she could give me two $5 dollar bills in the change because I had to pay the gentleman who filled my gas. My change should have been $91.28 and she gave me $61 dollars back I did not catch it right away so I relooked at my little purse that is small enough to carry in my hand once I left the store as I looked through the bills I told the gentleman at the pump that the woman inside gave me the wrong change, he told me to return to the store and solve the problem before paying him so I did. What I thought would be a simple process kept me there for almost 45 min with my kids in the car. I went inside back to the same registrar which I believe her name is Angela it is on my receipt that I have a copy of. She went and asked another woman who I failed to get her name to give me back my change because she gave it incorrectly, the woman never acknowledged me or told me the process of how she was going to handle this particular situation, she moved the girl to another register and started counting all the money as I waited then she went back to the office still without speaking a word to me and left me standing there for almost 10min. I walked over to the office that she was sitting in and I started to get really upset I told her to give me back my $100 dollars and I would leave the items if there was a problem and she told me she could not do that because the register did not come back OVER or SHORT so she had to call someone to see what the process was?, I told her to please hurry that I needed to leave. She has me wait another 10 to 15 minutes. She finally came out of office to tell me that after looking at camera I did not count my change, I was blown away I told her I looked at the cash and so did her register person and I realized when I stepped outside store it was wrong that should not mean that I should not receive my change back!, she told me that if she gave me the change back she would be short and I told her that was not my problem, I paid and I should receive my correct change. She asked me if I could leave my name and number and it would be further investigated, I told her this has never happened to me not in all my life I have never been so embarrassed. I told her someone better call me and I better get an apology! I work hard for my money I am a single mom and I work overnights in the hospital and to be refused your money back that u may need for them is absolutely wrong! I teach my kids to be courteous, respectful and honest to all those around them no matter who they are, it is a shame we cannot be treated the same way when dealing with the public. My kids know how much I love wawa... ohh my goodness even my coworkers ever since I lived down south with my ex husband when he was in the military over 10 years ago and now I feel weird even stepping foot in there how uncomfortable they made me feel, one thing I dislike most is to be called a liar or made to feel like a liar and that was what I was made to feel at my visit to wawa today. I was going from there to take my kids to a sunflower patch after only getting 4 hours of sleeping and having worked a 16hr shift from 3p the Day before and my whole day was ruined because of what happened at wawa. I will never feel the same way about wawa again because in the end money is not more important than being treated with respect!
