HandyMan Club of America / Scout.com - honoring the lifetime membership that I paid for.

When I started my membership with Handyman it was for a twelve or twenty four month membership, then they offered a lifetime membership with monthly magazines and opportunities to try out new tools that was on the market to see if I liked them and if I did I got them at membership cost . I kept some and sent some back and I continued to get my monthly magazines, and offers to purchase the Hunting Magazine and the Fishing Magazines, which I declined and I sent the tools that they were sending me to try back to them .The last magazine that I RECEIVED was the fall of 2014, I have not received any mailers, or any type of correspondence from them in the last eighteen month's .I'm requesting that I be compensated for the eighteen months that I did not receive my Magazine and a refund on my Lifetime membership . Club Membership #[protected] 0

Iv'e been a life member for several years now. I noticed the magazines have stopped coming. I received a book about a year ago and meant to return it. Did I forget to pay for it? Is that why the magazines have stopped?

HandyMan Club of America / Scout.com - I have not received any information or magazines from them in two years. I am a lifetime member.

I am tired of not being able to contact Handyman club of America because I have not received my Handy magazine for two years or my club bulletin for almost three years. What is happening . I paid good money to become a lifetime member and I am definitely being cheated. Am I going to start getting all this again, or is my Lawyer going to get A lot more for me. Membership #[protected]. I need an answer a soon as possible.

My name is Kenneth Pia Member [protected] since 08/2012 Master Life Member and have not been contacted in years and just now I found my paper work and wondered what happened to them. I can see from all the complaints we are all in the same boat. You can include me in on any class action if it will do any good. Thank you

I never realized just how many had problems with this company. My husband 'signed on' to be a life member back in the late '90's. I did have to send a letter even back then to see why he wasn't getting the magazine. Life went on & we forgot about it. We retired from MA to MN in 2011. Unpacking a box the other day, I found the belt buckle 1996 Handyman Club of America LIFE MEMBER. That is the only thing I still have that shows he is a member. I'm sure they have made a few bucks off from all of us. If there is a class action against them we'd like to be included.

Well I guess I don't need to feel like the LONE RANGER.I too have tring to get in contact with them all phone numbers are no longer in use, BBB said they were not accredited. So we are pretty much screwed. I also had a life time subscription to their Gardening magazine it to has gone by the wayside and no contact info. But I did find that they have an online magazine by going to HANDYMANCLUB.COM Fred

HandyMan Club of America / Scout.com - life membership

I, like many others, have paid for a life membership which includes magazines which fail to arrive. This club has my address and my email but has never contacted me. Evidently, since I don't buy things from them, they make the assumption that I have passed away. I contacted them once regarding this and they began sending magazines. They said they sent a postcard but didn't get a reply. I never received a postcard or would have replied. In all the years I've received mail I don't believe any of it has been lost. This outfit ought to be investigated!

HandyMan Club of America / Scout.com - not getting magazines anymore

Since 2014 or before and including 2015- I have not received the magazines. My account #[protected] and I am a lifetime member- and paid all my dues. I would like to start receiving the magazine again, and if available the magazines from 2014 and 2015. Why did the magazines stop coming if I am a lifetime member? I did not know there was a site to do a complaint, and I am glad I found it so the magazines will start coming again.

My husband is a life time member of Handyman Club of America. Like many others we have not received the HANDY semi monthly magazine since 2014 February/March issue. Magazines were a part of the lifetime membership benefits. Membership #[protected] Wayne Fox member since 08/98. It's obvious that we are among many this has affected. Their phone [protected]$ does not work. I called an advertising firm in Detroit number and left an inquiry about the magazine. That number, which works is [protected] for Michigan advertising. See page 2 of Handy Magazine for your area advertising manager.

I have not received my lifetime magazines or anything else for years now. I didn't think anything about it as i get a lot of magazines. I have been getting magazines from Family. Handyman asking me to join. I would like to know how to get in touch with Handiman Club and get all the benefits. Don't have my number in front of me. I am a life member for about 5 years. I have tried 2 phone numbers. One is no longer in service and the other is busy. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you. Thomas Scraggs. Email. Gunsmith1907@yahoo.com

HandyMan Club of America / Scout.com - unauthorized subscription charge

I just received a collection notice saying I did not pay for a subscription from 2007! Are you kidding? I sat on hold with a collection agency for over 20 minutes to be asked repeatedly "are you going to pay." I explained the magazine was used by a business we used to own. We sold that business in 2009. I explained since that is over seven years ago I do...

HandyMan Club of America / Scout.com - No way to contact them! Their phone number refers you to: contacthandymanclubofamerica.com but there is no listing!

To Whom It May Concern:

When you dial the above number, thinking that you will or can be connected with the Handyman Club of America, Customer Service Department, you end up receiving a recorded message. The message states, they no longer take calls. But refer you to go Online to: contact.handymanofamerica.com Doing so, all you receive from your Internet Connection (in my case, Explorer) informing you that the site doesn't exists and your server is unable to connect with it.

All I'm attempting to do is to speak with someone in their Customer Service Department, who may be able to assist me with a defective product they had sent me. All that I'm seeking to do is to speak with someone to either replace the defective product; or at least send me a replacement part of the defective item, so I can fix it myself.

I happen to be a Life Member of this club. But I'm wondering, it's not my life time membership that matters. But rather the "life" and existence of the Handyman Club of America?

This is absolutely no way for any organization, association +/or club to treat any of its members this way! They need to re-post a phone number where their membership can have contact with a real, live individual who can listen to any comments or complaints. And to rectify the problem(s) immediately! It certainly will dramatically, improve the Handyman Club of America status throughout the country; both with its existing members and any future memberships they are expecting to join!

Sincerely,
A Retired General Contractor & Handyman

My husband was deceived, sent in request for free gift with 1 month free magazine - that was all he received & now receiving billing saying 2nd notice with payment now due $24.00 - pay $24.00 & 2 more gifts; pay online at: www.MyHandyAccount.com - My husband put in my name & now demanding pymt due upon receipt. I want this order cancelled - & most of all I refuse to pay with any credit card. I read a lot of reviews & never read any thing of this nature. I want to be reassured that since the order is in my name : Kathy Bet, 302a N Lehigh Ave, Wind Gap, PA [protected] - I want to make sure that I do not receive any COLLECTIONS NOTICE - what is the best way to handle. No phone # contact direct. The BILLING REF # is LQCP6157

My husband and I have the same problem. They are sending us bills for items we never received and did not want. Right after we sent in for the trial period, we found out that this was a scam and requested the membership to be cancelled. Today we got a bill for a book that we never received and were advised that our account was past due so it included late fees. I am notifing our state attorney general office to make them aware of what this company is pulling. I live in Missouri and if others out there live here please notifiy the attorney general also. Other states should do the same thing.

Last Year I cancelled My Membership and told them not to send anymore of that junk. Well I thought I was finished with them, because I kept sending the stuff back. Well Friday I recvd. another Magazine and some kind of tool. I don't want either and going to send it back and don't want anymore. IF they send Me anymore stuff I will contact My Lawyer. Ronald Loga
