If I could shout how much Carle Hospital is terrible from the tallest mountain I would. If you don't have health insurance and need free healthcare go to carle. If you have health insurance then be prepared to be raked over the coals in fees. The np I saw got on her phone to answer the question I had regarding safe & unsafe medications to take while pregnant. She said, "I am going to be honest, I don't know the answer but we can google it together." she proceeded to sit next to me and type my question into google. Then, they charged me a fee for walking into their awful, dirty, run down, building and a fee for an np to read an article from google! I am now out over $455 for what? Carle hospital is one of the absolute worst healthcare facilities in the nation. They should be shut down immediately by the government for how they are stealing from the champaign-urbana community. A great tactic to be a not-for-profit yet destroy the community in which they reside by never giving back and leaving abandoned buildings to go build new ones with every client's "facility" fees. I would recommend you run far from them and go to chicago or stl. If you can't make it there then go to christie. Oh, and they treat their staff like the scum between the ceo's toes. What a disgrace.
Desired outcome: I would like a refund for my office visit on 3/07/23 due to the NP reading an answer to my question straight from Google. How is it fair I was charged $455 for something I could have looked up on my own?
