The Pep Boys

Brought my 2016 Nissan Murano to Pep Boys on 09/17/2020 for a battery replacement. Pep Boys # 1703 in Spring Hill, Florida did the service of installing a "NEW" battery. Today, 11/15/2022 the battery went dead and wouldn't hold a charge. I opted to replace it with a battery from O'Reilly auto parts. I did the installation myself since the vehicle wouldn't start. First thing I noticed was that the battery hold down straps weren't tightened down. When I got the Pep Boys battery out of the car, under the hold down bracket was a clearly stamped date on the top of the battery of 2004. Apparently they installed either some leftover junk in my car or a battery left laying around from some other customers car. Either way this is unethical behavior on your employees part or downright fraud. I will never trust Pep Boys again or recommend them to anyone.
