In-N-Out Burger - Quality of burger

My wife and I ordered a cheeseburger with lettuce, sauce and grilled onions. Worse burger ever. Burger tasted burned and texture of cardboard. We love in and out and immediately notice a problem with taste and texture. Ordered on 7/26/20 at about 6 PM. Never had an in and out that tasted so bad!
We both threw most of Burt in trash.
