I have been complaining to Pottery Barn regarding a King Size Bed Frame that we ordered and was delivered. We have been complaining for 4 months about the bed frame squeaking so much we cannot sleep in it. We put in numerous calls to pottery barn customer service furniture dept., emailed all information they required, pictures of the bed frame, which we thought was strange because you cannot see squeaks you can only hear them. We sent them pictures anyways like they requested but have never received any resolution. Finally, we sent in our last email to customer service dept telling them that if we do not hear from them asap that we would be contacting the CEO of Pottery Barn/William Sonoma. A few days after that email we received a call from a service rep telling us they will be getting someone to come to see if they can fix this squeaking problem. Its now been several more weeks and we still have not heard back. We spent lots of money on this bed and are very upset about this. We feel we have been ripped off which is very sad because we have purchased several furniture items from Pottery Barn in the past.

Pottery Barn Customer Service is terrible! They take for ever to respond to emails or phone calls complaining about problems with furniture. When they do respond they put you off for several more weeks, months and your complaint never gets resolve. I had to keep hounding them and I still have not resolved our King Size bed Squeaking problem, we are stuck with a squeaking bed that does not stop and we cannot sleep in it at all!
Our Hensley bed from Pottery Barn squeaked horribly for over a year. So much so that I started dreading bedtime. Every time I would turn over in bed, my wife, a light sleeper, would be disturbed. I've tried many fixes, all of which were temporary, until today!
The fix:
Measure the interior distance between your sideboards and cut a 2x4 to size. On my king bed, the distance was 77 7/16". Wedge your precut 2x4 between the sideboards at the head of the bed directly under the headboard. By placing opposing force on the sideboards the squeak disappears. Wood shims can keep the 2x4 tight and in place without screws if your measurement is short. If you care, you could distress then prestain your 2x4 with weather gray for that matched feel, but honestly, once you put your mattress back on, you don't see the 2x4. I hope this helps!
