My 91 year old ma recieved this letter from Universal Trust and Finance In from Ontario, CA
informing her she won $250, 000 in an unclaimed lottery from 2009.
Naturally they want her to wire them $2985 to cover "taxes" and even enclosed a real looking
check for $4885.
It mentions a "Tom Howrad(sic)" at [protected] as being the contact.

Can't something be done about these scam artists preying on senior citizens? I hate to think what
would have happened had she opened this mail instead of me!

My grandmother recived a check from thesuper 7 contest saying that mygranfather had entered a contest and won 250, 000 dollars with a check that was deducted fromthe winnings for 4885.00. Well this all sounded good, butmy grandfather has been dead for 7 years. So i decided to give Mr. Tom Mark a call and ask what this was all about. When i started pressuring him for answers he hung up on me. Hopefully someone can figure out a way to stop these people.

Received a letter with no return address stating I had won $250, 000 in a Super Seven Contest in 3/3/09. The check enclosed was in the amount of $4885.00 to pay for government taxes. You have to call Tom Howard at [protected] and keep it confidential. Winnings to be paid through Western Union.
Scam Alert, beware.

Got the same letter... My fist clue that it was a scam was a canadian address with an american phone number...(Country code 1). Second clue was extremely poor grammer. Third clue was cheap, generic envelope with not return address. Honestly, if you're going to rip people off, at least take the time to make it look legit!
