Before I get my Visa card from US Bank last April my credit score is at 765, in mid April I obtained US Bank's Visa I start using the card but only few small charges, in June I noticed I still did not get a statement from them since I am the new with this bank, I pickup the phone and called their 800 service line to get help, the rep answered the phone told me, my statement will come in the mail soon, after that I wait it for couple more weeks, it finally came. But when I open the statement I saw I got charged "LATE FEE" because there is no payment receive for the month of May, I then called their 800 service center right away, the service rep. told me they HAVE TO charge the late fee, because they didn't get any payment from me, I told them I didn't get any statement and I called few weeks ago ask for it. She told me there is nothing she can do, I told her I am new cardholder, she told me the bank still have to charge me the late fee. So, I blamed the US Mail like many others and decided to paid for the late fee. In the following months few of the statements are still missing, I called the bank and complained about it, but they said they sent out the statement and there is nothing they can do, I was worry I will get charge late fees again and hurt my credit, so I asked the service rep. the FOLLOWING QUESTIONS:
1) When is my payment due date? Service Rep. replied: " THERE IS NO SET DUE DAY."

2) What is my minimum payment amount? Service Rep. replied: "THERE IS NO SET AMOUNT EITHER"

3) You mean if I don't get the statement than I won't know what the payment amount is? She replied; " I am sorry to said, Yes that is correct!"

4) Will if I didn't get the statement again, can I just send any amount (ie. $80~$100) as my payment for that month? She said: "You really can't do that, because you always need to send in the minimum amount required for that month."
I asked: "How do I be sure I will get the bank statement? as you know I been having problem since day one?"
Service Rep replied:"there is really anything we can do, you just have to make sure you get the bank statement each month", "..."

In the following months off and on I still have problem getting the bank statements, I contacted the Postal Office in my area, and also contact the US Bank again alert them that I still have problem getting my statement, I wrote to their Customer Service Dept. couple time addressing the issues, but have NO responses. I noticed on the "bank statements" I got from time to time, I was charged late fees, interest charges, I contacted the bank many time and tell them I refused to pay those late fee and interest charges, but couple time the Service Rep. answered the phone just make notes that I called and complained about the late fee.

I sent another letter addressed to the department manager, STILL NO RESPONSE!

Finally, I stop making any more payment and demand the bank attention on my account, the bank service rep. still told me that I need it to pay for the late fees, I told him I sent many letters and make many phone complained about it, but no one has help look over my account situation?! He said:"Well, I am going to put in the system, you called and indicated you are refusing to make payment."

This one account had hurt my credit rating over and over and up to this date US Bank still did not reply to me letters.

This bank is ripping consumer off, they don't provide you with account information on time, but yet they make sure they CHARGE YOU THE FEE and INTEREST ON TIME!

Just my case alone, since day one NO SERVICE NO STATEMENT ONLY LATE FEE & INTEREST CHARGES!

Try go to www.ripoff.com and type in US Bank and see how many cases against this bank!

I think we really should report this bank to the US Attorney General Office. I think they are trying to rip people off NOT running a honest bank business at all.
