Attended a presentation in Charleston, SC for TSI stating the membership offers savings of 40-85% off retail pricing found on other travel sites. Made themselves out to look like they are accredited with the BBB as well. Once I gained access to the site the savings promised are in fact not available. I can find the same prices or even cheaper on other travel sites like Expedia/Travelocity. They used deceptive practices to entice me into signing a contract and aren't delivering the promised benefits they said were available in the presentation. The merchant refuses to cancel the contact and refund me even though the package is not what I was told it was.

We had a similar experience. We signed up in 2018 in Charleston and were made many promises that sounded too good to be true, which should have been obvious to us! Unfortunately we signed up and paid a good sum for services that could not match other free travel services. We called TSI on many occasions looking for a deal and it was so difficult to get information and helpful people, we just stopped trying. At one point, we were looking a cruise; spoke with a TSI cruise representative who had the same deal for $500 more and kept asking if we wanted to book it?! Of course not. We were told we could get hotel/condo options in Saratoga, Boston, Cape Cod and other cities we frequent; there is nothing available in these cities. Also we were told we had 2 special condo weeks a year; when I called TSI they did not know what I was talking about. Everyone has the same options for condo rentals at listed prices that are way more than a deal and can book unlimited. In the last 3 1/2 years, we have received nothing in the mail and only phone call was to request renewal money. I certainly expected to receive some sort of outreach on services and deals without having to spend so much time contacting people who were not helpful. I understand we can use the website but it is overwhelming. We so appreciate newsletters and outreach offering us information we don't have to search for. Trying to get someone on the phone who knows what they are talking about is another experience. Stay away from TSI!
