On 6/13/18 my credit card bill showed a $181.68 charge for a company I had never heard of. Upon investigation I learned that tpc*proactiv has a very long history of shady happenings such as occurred to me.
I had never heard of, nor had I received any communication with this company before the false charge was reported to me by my credit card monthly bill.
A quick google inquiry showed this company to have several years of such practices. If this company is in any way legitimate, this is no way to show it.
I have asked my credit card company to treat it as a scam billing and remove it.
Also - for the record - I phoned the company at the number listed in their billing and the first thing they asked for was my phone number. I quickly hung up.
These operators are likely responsible for all the hated nuisances like robo-calls, junk mail, etc., and gathering information like your phone number just gives them more to work with.

It happened to me 5 days ago as well got charged 76 dollars it has been pending since 5 days already and I have no idea how this could happen? Pro activ (via TPC) el segundo this transaction is called … how can this keep happening to so many people since years ?

I also got a fraudulent charge from TPC*Proactiv

I’ve never purchased this product.. I used it as a teen like 15 years ago but my grandma paid for it…

Called my bank and filed a claim. Now waiting for a response. Also replaced my card.

I’ve been having issues with fraud charges, I’ve replaced my card 4 times in the last year… I don’t give out my card info and I don’t use untrusted websites for purchases… so tired of this…

they did it today with my debit account 252.19 dollars five times in 15 minutes and blocked mada card how to contact them to complain?

Hi from KSA.

It happened to me, 4 times within 10 mins with the same $ 252.19 value!

How is it possible that "TPC*PROACTIV" did not get blocked from Debit cards and banks? i see many people talking about this fraud billing since 2018.

Ok, i got my money back, ANB Mastercard.

1- I called the bank to stop the card immediately once I noticed.

2- I asked them to refund me, but they told me that I could not open a dispute and claim this amount unless it is a billed transaction, so I had to wait for 72 hours.

3- after 72 hours the transaction appeared in my account I immediately called the bank and raised the claim.

4- Bank asked me about if I had ever dealt with this seller, I told them that I never ever known them and you can verify that by my credit card statement.

5- I raised a claim on SAMACare, I believe this expedited the refund process.

6- after two days of raising the claim, the bank told me that they requested reported the transaction to Mastercard.

7- A few days later, the bank resolved my claim in SAMACare and refunded my money back with a screenshot of the transaction.

To sum it up, raise a claim in both SAMACare and your bank.

I think there is a data breach in one of the e-commerce stores in KSA, since this seems that it happened to many people with the same value of $ 252.19 in the same day around the same time.

Same happened to me right now. I'm from Italy, charged 4 times in 5 minutes. 127 USD per operation. Immediately blocked the card and now i need to report the fact to italian authorities.

Sherri- I received a text from Citi asking if TPC*PROACTIV charge was real. By the time I signed on they had made 5 charges starting with $1.01 then 2 of about $150 . Citi is sending me a new card and closed account.
So they are still very active.

Me too. First for $1.01 which is just to see if it's a valid number I think and that was followed by $157.94. I have filed a dispute with my credit card company but wonder, how did this company that I never heard of get my number? Had to be by illegal means.

I also have a fraudlent charge on my credit card of $99.89 for an order I did not place. I deactivated my card but to date have not received a refund from Visa. In today's mail, I received a confirmation of an order I did not place and the address to which the product would be sent (someone in Florida). That person must be in on the scam.

same here. wtf is this company? even more ridiculous that's on my debit card. I didn't have alarm set up on my debit card that's how they were able to steal from it. any luck guys?

they have charged me over $1, 500 over the last 6 months, on a monthly basis, .in varying amounts -- I have never ordered anything from TPC*Proactiv and I do not even have skin problems!. I notified citibank on september 12th and yet another charge went through from same company on sept 23rd. Citibank is 'reviewing" this, not idea when/ if i'm getting my $$ back. WHAT DO I DO ?

This just happened to me as well. TPC*PROACTIV 8002356 shown on my statement for $113.22. Never ordered anything from them before. Also a Citi Bank customer with a double cash card. I disputed the charge so hopefully this is cleared up quickly.

Just got 2 additional charges from TPC*PROACTIV showing on my account now (3 total), for a combined total of just under $500. I'm talking to Citi Bank on the phone now and they seem completely uninterested in helping on a larger scale.

I am dealing with this now. They have taken 3 charges between $98 and $101 dollars since February this year. I have never even spoken with this company before. I'm inclined to believe that they have someone internally involved in credit card number theft who uses them as a means of stealing money. It is extremely alarming because for all intent and purpose it seems as if this company is legitimate, yet here we are.

This happened to me as well with TPC proactiv on April 2nd, 2019. I had a charge for 108 dollars. I called my card company and reported it as fraud as I have never had any contact with this company. I also called proactiv and they were only able to tell me that the product was being sent to someone in Texas but wouldn’t give me any other information or stop the pending charge. The representative only said it looks like someone has stolen your identity and they would cooperate with any subpoena that authorities brought to them. It apparently has been an issue with that company for years and nothing is being done to stop it. Although nothing will likely be done, I plan to contact the FBI as it is occurring to more than just one person. I’ll update with anymore info when I get it in hopes to help someone who is in this same situation.

Hi, It just happened to me exactly the same, the difference is I have 11 charges of a value of 110, cents around. I believe the company is the one doing the fraud but as you said nobody is doing anything. Calling the FBI in will be a good thing to do.

Starting from Feb 26 2019, The TPC Proactive company started billed my citi credit cart hundreds of dollars even I have canceled my old credit card. And the worst thing is that, even I report to citi immediately that these are scam billings, citi still approve these charges and reverse dispute credits. All these experiences make me feel bad for both the junk TPC company and Citi.

TPC*PROACTIV is the charge which shows on my CC. $112.31 on 2/23/19.this was approved. B of A got suspicious when the same company attempted a charge of $111.13 on 2/25/19. They called me to ask if it was fraud and cancelled my card. Seems like a lot of fraud occurring with this company.

On 1/18/2019, looking at my charge card statement, I found a pending charge for $107.83 (dated 1/17/2019) from TPC Proactiv. I immediately contacted my credit card company. I have never ordered any proactiv skin care products but some how they got my credit card number and billed it. Capital One locked/cancelled my card and is sending out a new one. How is this company getting away with this?

I was checking my bank account and noticed that I was charged $135 for products I never ordered on my credit card. I never made a transaction last night, August 27, 2018, with my credit card. Now have to call my bank to stop payment. What kind of scam is this?

Same thing happened to me on May 3 2018, still waiting on a review from Citi Card . They removed the charges but added them back this month. I sent another letter asking for a explanation from Citi Bank on what they have found out and was told a decision would be made by September. Not sure how our why they billed be again after removing it once.
