I sent the following email to Yorkwoods Library Senior Branch Head Stephen Arroz & Yorkwoods Services Manager Young Lak Jin some time ago
"Dear Stephen & Young,
I wanna to report a xxxxx female staff of yours who seemingly was disliking the rare brief quietness this library has this evening & engaging a mainly social conversation non-stop with a male security person between 6-7:05 pm on today's date as if they were not aware of other library users nearby.
Library staff should almost always bear in mind that they work in a library & I believe it was also highly inappropriate for her to refuse flat to provide her name when requested.
Please look into this matter as I found this staff often ignores the quiet rule in the library as talks too loud too much too often. She 's especially rude being a public servant to not give her name.
Thank you & I look forward to a response from each of your offices."
I received no answer from them whatsoever. This is another typical example to counter the Toronto Public Library bureaucracy's claim that they always wanted to hear about library users feedbacks & make improvement, etc. What an on-going big total liar
Based on my personal experience since 2009, too many of these Toronto Public Library management & frontline people choose to hear nothing, see nothing & say nothing about a vast majority of my complaints taken to them either face to face or in writing. To 100% of these TPL personnel , their only & most primary objective is their job & payroll security as far as I am concerned. They are hardly public employees to help & serve people of Toronto.
