I have had continuous combative experiences with Chad at Titan Exteriors. Why in the world I did not hire my long time 40 year friend and contractor/roofer, Bill, I do not know .
Titan had good ratings and no BBB record and my roofer, Bill’s wife had just died. Bill was grieving quite deeply.

When Paul (or whomever) and Chad were out here talking with me in the midst of the project, a neighbor wandered over. This is someone whose career has been in construction. Titan= Paul/Chad, screamed ballistically at my senior neighbor and told him to get off my property. I was speechless.
Chad has been at my home this week, defying the yellow caution tape on my walk, walking around and looking in the windows unannounced. He since told me he “banged on the door” (which I have no knowledge of). I asked him if he rang the bell to which he answered, “No."
I had not heard from anyone since about mid Nov. No phone calls whatever. Just showed up. Unidentified. Unannounced.
One day, day after the blizzard, some men also showed up in my drive with ladders and some stuff. Thinking they were these guys going door-to-door/scammers after hail damage, I asked them what they thought they were doing and told them to leave. No phone calls. No notice. No identification on the vehicles nor themselves. I did not have a clue who they were and still don’t. Guessing it was Paul whom I have never met, one of the co-owners of Titan. However, Chad has called me at least twice in the last 2 weeks, (inc. Jan. 6 & Jan. 17) screaming and yelling and threatening and lying for at least 3 min. each and then hangs up. He also has been very abusively DEMANDING the rest of the money. He says he has an attorney against me. He has been told on numerous occasions that when the work is done and the Woodbury City Building Inspector has signed off on it, he will get the rest of the money. He wants it NOW. Part of the screaming was about how I gave them fits about paying (they got their 1/2+++ immediately 11-2, up front) and how abusive I was to the roofers, who did not speak English.
The crew showed up unscheduled, unannounced to do the work and they started on the roof. Since I had a dr.’s appointment that day I kept it (takes forever to get in) and I went to Aldi, Dollar Tree, Bank, and Cub. When I arrived home, they were all gone. However, I was "extremely abusive to the roofers". This scammer initially never got a permit from the City of Woodbury, nor gave me a copy of Insurance, a Pre Lien Notice, an itemized contract nor a receipt for monies paid. I called the Bldg. Inspector and then again later. Chad pulled a permit, after I complained and after the work was all done (some trim still remains). I do not believe that he had a legal “contract” with me, he did not give me a breakdown of any numbers, he didn’t ask or advise me that he was, or ask or state when he was coming and he did not pull a permit prior to starting the work, there was not a Building Inspector here. During the work, however, all of my downspout extensions were bashed in. Chad obviously was being devious and did not want the City to know or to pay for a permit. This behavior, especially the screaming at a client, someone whom he has met about twice, causes me concern about Chad’s mental health and lack of control. I have have had extensive telephone contacts with Rick Hughes, Wdby. Bldg. Inspector and Mn. Dept. of Labor, all of whom have been extremely kind and patient with me. If Chad shows up at my door again and as I told Chad and Woodbury on the telephone, I will call the police. As an elderly senior citizen, alone, I am processing contacting the Elderly Abuse People as well as filing a report with the Mn. Dept of Labor and the BBB. My body just shook for 2 days after Chad’s last call. I remain very anxious and fearful about them showing up again.
