Asked Tim to handle probating my mom's estate since I was named Executrix. Was charged $33, 270.00 in attorney fees, which was a major shock. Family complaining and all I can say, is I guess he charged that much because Mom had it. Have been discussing faulty appraisal on home and he's no help. Have been telling him about problem with home being land-locked and my need to get an engineering survey done to restore value by obtaining a variance...not being told I can not spend the necessary money from the estate because he's already filed for final distribution - even though I told him weeks ago about the problem with our being land-locked. He never mentioned I could spend the necessary funds as Executrix prior to his filing for final distribution and now says it's too late. Also, he's written several letters to me, his client, making snide remarks which I consider highly unprofessional and has been going to family members with his questions rather than deal with me since he's upset and he's upset because I finally blew up when he called to tell me 1 1/2 years after filing my Mom's Will that there's a problem with it and now he may need additional legal fees to file a Complaint naming me as Plaintiff and a Defendant because the Judge didn't want to sign the Cert. of Transfer due to bad wording of the Will. He mentioned the problem was my mother saying I could live in the home until it sold rent free (paying ut.) and left me hanging thinking the Judge was going to make me move or charge me rent or something. So, yes, I got very upset and having my entire family yelling at me over his exorbitant legal fees...this was simply the last straw. So, if you need a probate attorney for goodness sakes go to someone else or make him sign a Fee Agreement, which I should have done, but sadly, I trusted him.

Mr. Carlson has been my family's attorney for thirty years. He has always been fair and has worked very hard to help our family business. He also did my parents estates and explained the probate court fee schedule. My husband and I do not believe this persons story in regard to our attorney.

I have used Mr. Carlson for several years for real estate matters. He has always been very reasonable and kind. I can not imagine any of this complaint are true.

I am shocked by B McQueen's comments. I am friendly with her family and know the stress she put the whole family thru after their mothers death. Her brother Gordon complained about how nasty and controlling she was up until his death.
I used Mr Carlson to help me with a foreclosure and he was so kind and helpful

I worked for Mr.Carlson when B.McQueen was a client. She was a NIGHTMARE of a client. Mr.Carlson worked with her and probate case for over a year and all fees were approved by probate court Judge. He is a fair and hard working lawyer.
