I am a 43 year old law abiding citizen that hasn't been in a physical altercation since High School and I was assaulted in front of the Tilted Kilt in Temecula, CA. After a patron of the bar intentionally bumped into me a Second time and Yelled at me "You need to leave"! My friend and I ( the innocent ones) were roughly taken outside by The Tilted Kilt's security (No questions asked). The Tilted Kilt security ripped my friend's expensive shirt and caused him to lose his shoes. We had to wait outside for my friend's shoes and my credit card that the establishment was still holding. I also asked to speak to the manager on duty. I wanted to complain about our mistreatment. While waiting outside the bully patron that bumped into me came outside to continue his harassment, now accompanied by a friend. I simply said " look I don't want any trouble I just need to get my credit card and my friend's shoes, then we will leave". I explained the situation to one of the staff security and he agreed to let us wait outside for our belongings and to speak with the manager. The bully patron and his friend were eventually convinced by security to go back inside so that we could wait for my credit card, my friend's shoes and to speak to the manager. They eventually threw my friend's shoes out the door and the waitress brought my bill and credit card. A few minutes later, while waiting for the manager to come outside, I was blind sided and knocked unconscious, falling back on the pavement and cracking my head wide open. I ended up being taken by ambulance to the hospital, was treated for a head trauma and got 10 staples in the back of my head. There was a police report taken but non of the Tilted Kilt security claim to have seen anything and the man who committed this assault was allowed to hide in the restaurant. This was an unprovoked attack by a violent man that is clearly a regular at the Tilted Kilt. He and his identity were protected by the establishment while I laid bleeding in the hospital. I am sure this isn't the first time this kind of thing has happened and if nothing is done to protect innocent people, I'm sure it won't be the last.
