In September of 2021, we hired The Window Store located in St. Anthony, Mn to install 15 windows in our home. We scheduled installation and informed it would be five days. When we arrived home on the fourth day the installers were gone, the front door into our home was still propped open.
The installers removed our back splash for no reason and took the tiles so it could not be repaired, they dropped a window that damaged are flooring and the trim, we found gaps between the trim and sheetrock, two windows would not open, windows were not straight, we found cracks in the frame and damage to other windows by the installers, when the wind would blow our curtains would move, and when it got cold our new triple pane windows would freeze up.
We have had two failed city inspections as well as a home inspection report. They have attempted repairs of shimming and leveling that were unsuccessful and caused additional damage (see attachments).
They offered a repair agreement that is outdated and does not address many of the concerns from the city, the independent home inspector, and damages caused by the installation. We hired a home inspection with the consent of The Window Store. This report shows us that if we do not get the issues resolved now, we will have to pay for window repairs when we sell our home.
