I ordered flowers for my brother in laws Funeral service what I thought would be a convenience thru the funeral homes website. I ordered an arrangement that from the picture should of been a larger arrangement 35 tall by 31 wide that shows in the picture that should of contained 4 stems of Stock 6 roses, 3 Spider Mums, 4 alstroemeria stems, 4 large carmations, multiple stems of eucalyptus with boston Ivy fill with a silver round planter as pictured. I did allow for reasonable substitutions but not in color. Thru the funeral homes site the base price was 143.95. HelloFlowersd.com site the base price for the same arrangement is 119.95. $30.00 difference and still was charged a service fee for the convenience.

What was delivered was an arrangement 25 inches in height and 26 inches wide. They mistakenly added an addition rose that I was not entitled too and I believe they caught their mistake and cut it off. The stem was not broken in transport but cleanly cut. We were shorted the amount of flowers in the smaller arrangement and was downgraded from the expensive Eucalyptus and no boston ivy which we gave them that flexibility (but shouldn't have) with hindsight.

I let them know of my displeasure with the arrangement as the smaller arrangement that they gave me would of been 107.95 thru the funeral site or 89.95 thru their site. Having training as a Florist but since retired made me very aware what they have done. They so generously refunded the additional service fee. They also would not tell me the name of the local florists so I could be sure to NEVER use them again! I realize that the problem was not with The Sympathy Store but with whichever local florist filled the order but since they wont disclose the name. They get the blame.

Desired outcome: I would like to see a refund of $30.00 additional

I ordered a standup arrangement for a Celebration of Life. The $200 arrangement was dying. Not like a little wilted. It was noticeably dying. I have never been more embarrassed to see something like that at a Celebration of Life.

I ordered "Arrive in Style" (premium) - picture below. The email I received when placing my order indicated that I would be notified when floral arrangement was delivered. I called when I was NOT notified of delivery and was told that the florist was closed for the day and would be notified the next day of delivery details. They would not disclose the name or location of the florist used for my order. My friend sent me a photo of the floral arrangement - picture below - and I was appalled. It wasn't even close to what I had ordered. I called the sympathy store to request a replacement arrangement. They offered a 30% discount as if that would make up for the embarrassment and disappointment I felt in this floral representation of our sympathy.

All I can say is they suck! I ordered what I thought was going to be a very meaningful garden basket for $123 (over $160 with tax & delivery). I'm attaching my emails plus my pics of what ordered vs what I got. What a joke! Do not use this company. Totally false advertising. IMO I think they hope that maybe your sending flowers in lieu of your absence. Well guess what? I was able to attend this service and what was provided did not in any way match what I paid for.
