These guys scam customers who bring in their car by damaging parts, or loosening bolts on things so that you bring the car back numerous times, while they keep the meter running.

This is unacceptable, they not only are dishonest to customers, damage our cars, but their Service Advisers are in it with certain techs that they work with, to say parts are damaged then the Service Advisers sell you spare parts at a premium and split their commissions with the techs. At The BMW Store Vancouver, they can hardly be called Service Advisers, more so they are a salesperson in disguise, from my experience. There is a huge conflict of interest in this type of misrepresentation where you have no choice but to go through a Service Adviser to get service done on your car. The particular man I have had the misfortune of dealing with has been extremely rude, condescending, and without any sort of dignity or honesty. I Paid a great deal of money to get my car serviced there, what I received was a know it all attitude, and a car that I was unsuspectingly sent home with which was a hazard on the road, which was a hazard to my family and my personal safety on the road as well as to other motorists. Not once but 3 times! This is NOT ACCEPTABLE. I was forced to take the car in numerous times, to have the same issues fixed over and over only to be charged and told it was done when in actuality the work had not been done properly. This caused a lot of frustration, I had to miss work many times, and I do not appreciate being charged a premium to have someone not only damage my car rather than fix it, but also have them put my safety and that of others at stake, to fill their pockets...

Long story short, They are dishonest, unethical, careless, and perform sub-par work, while charging you a premium. I went to a different BMW service center and had my car fixed properly, and after I shared my experience with them, they also confirm my suspicions and suspect foul play, many of the things they said were fixed and charged me for were not done, and work that was done was done disgustingly carelessly. I mean its simple bolt and unbolt, not heart surgery! I have since contacted, the Ministry of Transportation, the Better Business Bureau, BMW NA, and my Attorney to deal with this issue. therefore can not go into specific details as to what exactly THE BMW STORE Vancouver have done, but I have been informed by various agencies, as well as from internet board post by other customers who have had similar experiences, that this is an ongoing issue with this BMW Dealer/Service Center. And I will write again to let everyone know how things are going.

In the mean time I would STRONGLY CAUTION anyone who is thinking of taking their car to The BMW Store Vancouver, or is already taking their car their and is accepting their mediocrity and total disregard for ethics and safety, to consider some other BMW Service Center, in BC. Because we don't have to accept this.

(Search google you will find reviews like i did.)

Totally agree
"We will take your car from the driveway- bmw sales rep"

Just bought a 2015 x5 msport, spent a well 90k on it. All the paperwork is done, icbc transfered title of the vehicle from BMW to my name, the contracts are signed. Till the next morning BMW noticed they have used the wrong interest rate. The interest rate they gave us was the one quoted before the sale. Once the contract was signed and title was transfered we get an email that they have used the wrong interest rate and that the contract is not valid. I was also threatened that they will take the car from my driveway or to come and sign a new contract with a higher interest rate. xxx. I have emails from the sales rep indicating what interest rate I was getting but that was a lie. I was also told that they would give me matts for the truck and that was a lie as well. I honesty should have stayed with BMW Brian Jessal as I know they treat you like human beings there and don't play any games. Worst mistake of my life trusting and investing at this location. There are no options for zero stars or I would be clicking on that. I bought two cars from here and bad experience will not go back here so distrusting sales staff. They never evaluate new cars at delivery my last car had a ding around driver rear wheel side (3 series ) which was never fixed during the entire lease period and I just returned the car at the end of a lease. Same thing with this new X5 on top of all this it had a scrape on the rear passenger wheel which I noticed when I got home and my brother was checking out the car. I don't know if they don't have proper trained staff to inspect the car or they just hide it ? Any ways bad bad experience. Please go to other delarship and avoid the fraustration and grief and actually enjoy your with out being threatened of it being taken away 2 days lol

Re: Dispute with BMW Canada,
I have been involved with a dispute with BMW Canada for almost two years. It is my hope that we can achieve a reasonable settlement.

I started shopping for a new car at Vancouver BMW and was shown several cars by Mark Long. I disclosed my health condition to Mr Long. Since I was awaiting a double lung transplant I had specific requirements. I needed a car that was comfortable, reliable and had four-wheel drive as I live in the Yukon. I also required on-board satellite communications in case I was in crisis due to my failing lungs and out of range of cell coverage. On November 01, 2011 I bought a new BMW X5 primarily because of BMW SOS.

I drove the car back to the Yukon and almost immediately I had difficulty with BMW SOS. I contacted BMW Canada and Mr Long on November 09, 2011. The car was towed on February 01, 2011 and returned to the dealership for an unsuccessful repair. I made the disappointing decision to sell this car and it was sold on April 13, 2012. Mr Long later told me that the reason BMW SOS didn't work was "you live in a ###ing freezer." March 08, 2012.

During this time I contacted Mr Long on several occasions concerning the sale of my vehicle. On I received a double lung transplant and while I was recovering and intubated Mr Long had me sign documents related to this vehicle. I was vulnerable and in an altered state and the stress of this sale was impactful to my health. Mr Long was evasive and on several occasions lied and presented falsified documentation. For instance, he presented me with a fraudulent letter from Barclay's Bank (copies can be provided). Mr Long was unprofessional and frequently made racist comments ("there is a hoard of Asians driving me nuts" March 14, 2012 "Blacks are worse than Indians to deal with" March 15, 2012.

Since my transplant I have been unable to work full-time and have been without a vehicle since February 01, 2011. The financial implications of this situation has been a major stress at a time when I have been vulnerable. I have a legitimate claim against BMW Canada and BMW SOS as well as the poor supervision of Mr Long. I am requesting an amicable settlement.
Sincerely,

M

I wish i saw this board before I took my car to them.
I brought my car in for simple oil+filter change as well as an issue bmw was recalling my car for.
After about an hour the mechanic called me and said all these things needed to be fixed and it would cost $2500.
He said everything else looked like they are in good condition so if i repaired these issues the car would be fine for years.
So i decided to go ahead and spend the money. The day after i picked up my car the temperature gauge would go to max after about 2 minutes of driving. I turned off my engine for a minute and turned it back on and the temp gauge was staying in the middle. I drove the whole day without any problems so I thought it was just a one time thing. Next day same thing happened except it was as soon as I left my garage. I called BMW store on Burrard and they told me to bring it in and said this could cost me about $500.
The first time i went they replaced Fan clutch, valve cover gasket, control bushing, worn engine belts, power steering pressure hose. I told the guy this had never happened before and the issue started the day after I took it to their shop and the guy flat out denied they had nothing to do with it without even looking. I am suspecting they messed up something when they replaced the fan clutch but they just won't admit it. So magically i ended up with a problem i never had after taking my car to their shop. These guys shouldn't be in business especially if it's not just me who had to endure this kind of problem. To date, I paid these a**holes $2500 and additional $500 if i let them fix my car again for the temp gauge problem. That's almost 3k they are ripping off. something has to be done

I agree totally that BMW store in burrard street are cheaters and thieves. I am very disappointed by how the people working there are stealing people's money. I went to look for a bmw x5 . And the salesperson N.shah influenced me to go forward with a deal, which was give 1000 for a credit check and the deal will be subject upon viewing. The next day I went to view the car, it was on the host in the servicing department hanging in the air. How can somebody view and decide to make a deal, when the car is hanging on the hoist.? Anyways, the BMW finance approve my credit subject to a 5000 downpayment. I went to the bank and i could not get the 5000 extra. So I called BMW right away to explain my situation. They decided not to refund me my money. And what the salesperson Neil said they are only business person there, so one has a human values and integrity to return what is a hardwork earned money. They are liars, thieves and NEVER GO TO BMW STORE>

It's sad that wasted 1000 dollars and trusted those thieves.
