My 92 year old mother ordered a FlavorWave oven from Thane after seeing their infomercial. She received the oven but did not receive the $59.85 Chef's Kit that she ordered with it. They charged her an outrageous $39.90 for shipping also. I called Thane on her behalf and they said that they packed the chef's kit with the oven. They did not. I checked all the packaging and it was not there. They said that she would have to pursue a claim with the post office. They slyly billed her credit card for $69 and some change only and invoiced her for the remaining $132.50 which I assume they will bill to her credit card later. This rendered me unable to get any redress from her credit card company. I will be a thousand miles away and unable to take care of this by the time the second billing arrives. What a disgusting scam on an elderly woman.

I ordered the Ab Doer Twist from Thane.com, then decided I wanted to cancel my order. Spoke with a CSR, whom I barely understood, offered me a discount to keep my order. Note: No policies or rules were explained to me during my conversations with both CSR's I spoke with. Then on 6/16 I decided I just wanted to go ahead and cancel my order or just return it once I got it (it already has shipped). The CSR's told me at Thane.com that I can't return it and once I accepted the discount, (they have a 30 day money back guarantee) it voided my right to return the item (the supposed 30 day money back guarantee. This guarantee is crap! This is the most odd thing I have ever heard from a company in my life|. So buyers be very aware! If you order anything from Thane|.com and they offer you any kind of discount!. You absolutely can not return your item, unless the CSR fails to mention to you that their 30 day money guarantee is null and void.. Note! They will have to listen to the phone converstion first before they do anything for you:. Other than that they make you keep the item, . This is the most insane company I have ever dealt with and the most rude CSR's in the business'. These people have no right to be dealing with the public at all.

We palced an order on Sturday and were told it would take four to six weeks to ship because they were so backed up. We did not opt to pay $10 extra to expedite shipping(thank goodness). When we called first thing Monday morning we were told the order had already processed and there was nothing we could do. The order was processed at 12:47 a.m. and we called at 8:00 a.m. when the order was not on any truck yet. I tried to ask them to please just not ship it. They refused and claim to have no way to contact the shiiping department. They say we have to wait to recieve it and then we can return it. We do not want it but they insist on sending it. Please do not give this SCAM company any money EVER! The supervisor hung up on us. Rude and not helpful in any way. The worst customer service ever. Could not stop a shipment and there was no way for anyone to be able to help us in any way. Fed Ex has not received our package to ship it yet, but no one can help us to stop delivery. I feel sorry for their employees and anyone who gets scammed by Thane. I own a business and understand customer service and respect. These two concepts are not integral to Thane. I have never been treated so rudely and I will tell everyone about this.

Thane is a ripoff, charged mt credit card twice, but never received the h2o mop, they still don't want to credit my account. I had to contact my credit card company, which is investigating the charges. This has been over three months still not resolved.

I ordered the Perfect Dog Training Program with an extra collar and lead lines. I also paid for "priority ordering". After 2 weeks, (but they had their money) I received the products, short of the additional collar and lead lines. So I called customer service and was told they would have to email or fax me a paper to fill out to get the rest of the items I ordered. 24 hrs later I still did not have the fax. I called again it was on a Saturday and was told I would get the fax by Tuesday or Wednesday the following week. So I asked how long it was going to be until I would get the product and they said 10 to 14 days. I explained I needed this by this Saturday and by any chance could they get it out by then. He said it should only take a couple days to process. So no fax on Tuesday, it came Wednesday afternoon, and it was a form stating I did not receive the package, charges for mail fraud and to fill it out and fax it back. Well, I called them again, told them I am not signing this piece of paper that says I did not receive the package when I told them I had received it, just 2 of the items were not included. They said oh it isn't fraud you just need to list what was missing. And then I asked how long this would take, and I was told well after we get it, someone will call you to see what was missing. (of course no time frame for the phone call) Well, because I don't trust their operation already after my other 3 phone calls, I filled out the paper, and wrote on the bottom I had received the box, however 2 items were missing, and had written what items they were. After faxing, I called them to see if they had received the fax, and they didn't know. From the reviews I have now seen online I will be contacting my credit card company. The companies procedures need to be looked at, and some improvements made in how things are handled, I will not ever buy from this company again, and I will let everyone else know the same.
