I purchased a firearm online and when it arrived on 02/10/2010 I inspected it and found that it had numerous defects and was unsafe to fire. Taurus advertises a lifetime guarantee http://www.taurususa.com/repair-policy.cfm The weapon had many areas where the builder made an error in drilling out the block of steel and decided to keep going, the entire slide was full of areas like this. I sent it back to Taurus who advised it would take 4-5 weeks to resolve the problem. Today I called and spoke to Axel, I asked him what the delay was as their online service shows that nothing has been done. He told me that it would take another 5-6 weeks and I advised him that I do not like the position I was in as their is a weapon registered to me floating around and he told me to stop making up stories and it was going to be 5 or 6 more weeks. He became rude and did not want to answer my questions, I decided it would be best to end the call at that time. The customer service provided by Taurus is exceptionally poor, their are thousands of complaints against them online and I believe Taurus is trying to delay my repair in order discourage me from sending back the weapon back as it is very likely that they will send me the same broken weapon.
