Do not BUY FURNITURE FROM TAFT FURNITURE SARATGOA SPRINGS NY if you want to have the worst buying experience ever.

I have made 2 purchases with them; first one went ok because I personally carried my furniture home. The second one is a complete different story…

As a reminder, DO NOT BUY FROM TAFT FURNITURE if you want to have the worst buying experience ever.

Back to my horrible experience with Taft Furniture, we purchased a complete living room set, and a bedroom set, and needed it delivered as soon as possible. Well this obviously DID NOT HAPPEN, but that’s ok I could understand. What I do not get for the life of Christ is how UNCONVENIENT their system is. People work Monday to Friday TAFT FURNITURE hope you get that. First they set you up with a delivery date of their choice, second they tell you someone will call you with a 3 hour time frame the day when the furniture will be delivered. Give me a Breather here TAFT FURNITURE, how the hell do you expect this to be of any convenience for anyone when the average American works 9 – 5 and commutes 25 miles on average. What happened to the basic principles of good business and Customer Relationship Management? I guess TAFT FURNITURE does not care.

And here comes the best part. I managed to have a family member come to watch the house for 3 hours waiting for my furniture to arrive, not only we were surprised when we got home of the FLIPPING mess they made by leaving MUD all over our new floors (Have a little decency and clean after yourself) but we discovered how one of the couches we just purchased had a big rip on the top. (This is a leather couch so is quite obvious)… and here is when I realized how Buying from TAFT Furniture is the worst buying experience you could EVER HAVE. I repeat BUYING FROM TAFT FURNITURE IS THE WORST EXPERINECE YOU COULD EVER HAVE.

I called their local number [protected] and expressed my frustration nicely, until I got nowhere. According to them when you buy from a ‘BIG’ department store (This makes me laugh), you have to follow the procedures. (Meaning when you buy FROM TAFT FURNITURE make sure you follow the procedures) You need a technician to come check out the furniture. What in the world do you mean you need a technician for? I just bought from you thousands of dollars of furniture and what you delivered (at an additional cost) is BROKEN. So I kindly asked to get my furniture replace. NOT GOING TO HAPPEN I have to wait 16 days to get the so called ‘Technician’ to come look at the couch, and he/she will determined if it needs to be replaced or fixed. So now if this person decides it can be fixed, I have no longer bought a NEW piece of FURNITURE at TAFT FURNITURE but a defective, refurbished piece.
So because of your so called Customer Department made me wait 16 days (by the way the appointment will be on a Thursday between 9 – 5, how ###ing convenient is that?) you get this nice [redacted]. Please treat your customers a little nicely post purchase not just at the store.

SO IF YOU ARE READING THIS AND YOU ARE THINKING ABOUT PURCHASING FROM TAFT, I WOULD RECOMMEND YOU TO GO SOMWHERE ELSE IN THE EVENT YOU HAVE TO DEAL WITH THE SAME PROBLEMS I DID.

TAFT FURNUTURE The worst buying experience of my Life.

I had a similar problem. TAFT Sucks, you are better buying from Raymour and Flanigan, I learned this a long time ago. I feel sorry for you. Good Luck

I purchased a $4500 furniture set from Taft Colonie, picked up my order as was scheduled 6 weeks later, 2 weeks into having the furniture, the electric stopped working, after troubleshooting I contacted the Taft Colonie store to find out they had been purchased by Raymour and Flanagin, the employee for Raymour stated they had no access to the Taft sales records and asked if they could return a call to me regarding the issues within 30 days. I reluctantly agreed, surprise surprise no call back, I called Raymour once again and discussed the issue to now be told it was out of their hands and to contact my warranty company, MontageFS.

Well well well, guess who doesn't want to honor the warranty I purchased as the issue was not reported to them within 30 days of finding the issue with the furniture. WTF?

I'm more than disgusted with all of these businesses and their games. Contacting an Attorney to see what my options are.

I caution anyone doing business with anyone of these characters, read the fine print before you buy and question everything. These businesses should be ashamed of themselves

Sincerely Another Victim

Did you find an attorney? I have similar issue - found Taft was not even authorized to sell the Montage warranty.

I ordered merchandise at the end of Feruary with anticipation that it would be delivered the first Saturday of April. I understood the wait that was required because they did not have the product in stock. However as the weekend approaches I receive a call that it will take an additional two weeks before my livingroom set will be delivered. I paid up front for the whole set and now I have to wait longer than the originally agreed upon time. I know I will not be shopping at Taft after this.

Yeah, Raymour & Flanigan seems like a good place to go. They only have 67 complaints:
