We contacted Jimmy Young through text message through Kijiji on April 10th/2019. We had a small (10-15 minute job) and offered $100.00 to do it. Mr. Young agreed to do the job the very next day and asked for a $50.00 deposit.
Since then, we have numerous text messages and facebook messages making promises, excuses, dates that he'll show, etc. all to no avail. We asked and were promised our money back and never received only promises that he would send money. This is out and out fraud.
This company, gentleman should not be allowed to advertise on Kijiji (I have contacted them as well). While our loss is negligible, how many other people have been duped by this con man?
Where do we go from here?

Jimmy came highly recommended from a vendor that I worked with. I agreed to work with him to get my roof replaced. He required 50% up front - roof cost $16, 000. He took the deposit and never started the work. Count yourself lucky losing $50. I am going to report him to the authorities and see if something can be done about him.
