Several years ago (February 2008) my husband and I purchased a pre-paid package to get an original oil painting of our dog from Everly Originals at the Super Pet Expo at the Edison, NJ convention center. The package we purchased was for a 16 by 20 painting with 3 images on it. The portrait was to be blocked but not framed - a package for which we paid $150.00. We were to send in pictures of our dog to the company and within 6-8 weeks we would receive a beautiful painting. Needless to say this never happened...we followed-up multiple times and kept being lied to..."it is in the mail", "it is almost done", etc. One day we tried to call and follow-up again only to find their number disconnected and website closed down. Information on the internet alerted us that they had declared bankruptcy. We were upset but with no way to follow up - we wrote it off as a loss.

On the evening of April 15, 2010, we received a call from a company named " Studio Originals ". They explained that they have our picture and it is beautiful - it just needs to be framed and it is ready to ship! The caveat was, however the special deal they had for us (good for 5 days only)...we can have the picture we already paid for if we pay them an additional $109.99 and $14.99 for shipping (again previously paid for). Needless to say I was quite upset by this development. I called the company the following day as they said they would send me a picture of the portrait which they did. After sending the email, they followed up with a call asking for the money to "purchase" the portrait. I explained that it was already paid for. Their response to this was to tell me that money had been refunded to everyone who had not received their paintings from Everly Originals - so their advice was to pay them and seek a refund from elsewhere. Needless to say I did not give them another dime.

I have confirmation that money was never refunded by the company I purchased my portrait through. It is my position that we have paid in full for the painting so we are the rightful owners.

I would humbly suggest that if you are ever approached by either Everly Originals or Studio Originals to market or sell their product that you refuse as they are clearly willing to breach agreements with their customers and reflect poorly on anyone that supports them. By their own admission these are individuals who use to work at Everly originals - they just opened a new company under a different name and are trying to continue their fraudulent business under this new name to take advantage of more customers.

The number I was given for the company is [protected] begin_of_the_skype_highlighting [protected] end_of_the_skype_highlighting but nobody ever answers. Some cursory research on this new company shows them located in Rye NY, but their phone number is a 973 number which is a NJ prefix. I have already filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau in NY and have written to Arnold Diaz at the "Shame on You" show on FOX. I encourage anyone else who has been scammed by this company to do the same.

I have purchaced a portrait to be made by Everly Orginals through Home Shopping Network. Paid for it and Company went out of bussiness. Closed the doors. Although HSN did reimbuirse my money. Months later I was contacted by Studio Origanals. I was told that the employees of Everly had purchaced all of the bussiness and is now Studio Originals LLC . They had a print and my phots's from Everly and would sell it to me for a reasonalbe fee. I purchaced the portrait, as well as purchaced two more that would be made. I spent 331.96 for the additional two. A kit was sent out for me to put together and mail back to them to start the portrait. When I tried to contact them, all phone numbers were no longer. I never recieved the product and am out $331.96. I want my money back! I can be reached by email at sheilas1313@gmail.com the same way that they orginally contacted me about selling me the protrait. I have contacted my bank about this charge and would expect whomever is in charge their to make this right. Thank you Sheila Shearlock

Do not order from this company! They say they do oil portraits from photos. They contacted me about doing an oil portrait of our dog from a photo. Said they would only charge $20 for the proof. Said I would get the proof in 2 1/2 weeks. It has been over a month I have not received the proof. But when my credit card statement arrived last week, there was a $140 charge from this company. Repeated phone calls to Deanna Pelle, the representative who I dealt with, have gone unanswered. I have reported this fraud to my credit card company. They are investigating.

The exact same thing happed to me, but believe it or not...I called HSN and was sent a refund (it had been two years...call them. they were able to find my order even after such a long amont of time and I had even been purged from the computer and they found my info...even returned my photograph. I felt the same way as you did about owning the painting that Studio Origionals claimed to own, but bought my picture anyway. I am certain that the painting did not exsist before my order and the deception lies only in that they are making you believe that the picture is out there waiting to be shipped when they are producing it from scratch. My second order arrived in about 6 weeks after I called and got the run around about it being shipped to another warehouse by mistake. I was very happy with the painting when I recieved it in the end. Good Luck!...and go for that refund!
