On a legal holiday Thanksgiving weekend, I was sickened at home by ingestion of something. I my gut is not in good shape, and I've had problems from a Thursday to a Monday, without the option of recourse to a doctor or nurse. No one is there today — just the answering service. And this complaint is not serious enough to seek care at the Emergency Department. Furthermore, the Urgent Care annexes to the URMC/Strong Hospital system are closed as well.
This person ingested something like neats foot oil and cannot yet eat normally. Some guidance or medical input would be appreciated. That's not an option for four days in a row.
That cannot be for four days in a row, for a modern hospital in a city like Rochester, New York.
Desired outcome: I would like a change of practices to accommodate the eventuality of this occurring in the future.
