Dear Sirs, in July, 2012 I hired Starr Law Group in Pompano Beach, Florida to do a loan Modification for me with CHASE BANK. I made payments with my debit card to the Law Firm for $3, 750.00. At the time I hired the Law Firm, a STAFF MEMBER told me in order to do the modification, I would have to be behind on mortgage payments, and I was told, NOT TO MAKE ANYMORE MORTGAGE PAYMENTS TO CHASE, until the modification was completed, and all the arrear payments would be added to the end of the mortgage. STARR LAW GROUP started the modification but never completed it, and now because of STARR LAW GROUP, and their LAW MALPRACTICE, my home is in foreclosure with CHASE BANK. I have contacted STARR LAW GROUP several times by phone and emails asking for a REFUND / HELP GETTING MY HOME OUT OF FORECLOSURE / OR DOING THE MODIFICATION THEY WERE PAID TO DO, and they have refused to do anything for me. I did on SEPTEMBER 6th & 8th receive a phone call from MR. STAURT STARR the Attorney for STARR LAW GROUP, telling me that if I tried to sue his LAW FIRM, he would personally see to it that I would never keep my home. STARR LAW GROUP has complaints filed from former clients for the same thing he has done to me. I have contacted about 25 different LAW FIRMS trying to get help to save my home, and they all are asking anywhere from $4, 000.00 to $8, 000.00 in upfront fees to help me and I don't have that kind of money. I am 63 years old and on total disability from having a brain tumor removed and receive a small monthly disability check, and with the shutdown with the government, I am not sure I will get a check next month. I don't want to lose my home and don't want to sell it. I will never be able to own another home in my life time. STARR LAW GROUP is a rip off law firm out to steal every ones money with their malpractice law practice. I need help to keep my home. I have been trying to work something out with CHASE, but because of this STARR LAW FIRM, I am behind 14 payments on my mortgage. This law firm and this Attorney should be disbarred from practicing law in Florida or any other state. I should receive a refund for the money I paid to STARR LAW GROUP plus receive punitive damages from STARR LAW GROUP for all the worry they have caused me, / for causing my home to be in foreclosure / for Lawyer Malpractice / Taking upfront fees for a loan modification where services were not competed / Telling me not to make mortgage payments to CHASE which is against the FEDERAL LAW TO TELL THEIR CLEINTS NOT TO MAKE MORTGAGE PAYMENTS. and my marriage is in trouble because of the problems STARR LAW GROUP HAS CAUSED, and because now my credit reports are posting a foreclosure on my CREDIT REPORTS. I think STARR LAW GROUP should have to pay me for all the punitive damages caused by their law malpractice. Who knows how many other of their clients have lost homes because of the firm not providing services paid for. And STARR LAW GROUP makes you pay the upfront fee or they will not take you on as a client. Thanks for your time, I PRAY you can and will help me.

I took mortgage several months ago, but recently I tried to set up my payment, but the website showed that I needed to make modifications and visit their home page. Later the agent from the company Stuart Starr Law Group contacted me and told that they could make the modification, but I needed to provide three payments in amount of $700. After I sent them all payments, the agent stopped to communicate with me. Please, I need help.
This company told me they could successfully do a loan Modification.
They told me that i do qualify and that they would not take
On any client that they could not help or take their money, well they
Did.
Now i am in foreclosure - i am requesting a refund.
I am behind on my motgage by several months and I did not know there was anything that could be done. One day I was trying to set up a payment arrangemnt with my servicer and they told me I could do a loan modification, this was news to me and I should have been told this the first time I was behind but the motgage company did nothing. I went on the mortgage comapnies website and filled out the paperwork for the modification and went to submit it and them I was told I did not qulaifiy because we had just refinance in May. The company told me to go on their website and click on the HAMP button and I copuld get help. A day or so later the Starr Law Group called me and siad that would qualify for a modifications since we had the loan since 2008 and that they could lower my interest rate and i wiould not need to make a mortgage payment until March and to stop making any payments to my mortgage company.After going over my bufdget with Michael Chambers I was scolded for making my car payments and medical bill payments (one of which filed court papers against so I didn't have a choice). He told me they would get the papers filed with my mortgage copmapny right away but there would be a cost of $879.00 for the initial filing and three payments for three months of $700.00 for the process. I thought I had read somewhere that companies weren't supoosed to charge upfront for this assistance but since they were lawyers I thought maybe it was different. The first payment was to come out on the 25th. They were going to take $400 and then the $479 on the 29th. I had told them I did not have the money to make those payments with only a couple days notice but I would try. I got paid on the 25 and I have all my bills on autodraft on the 25th but I pulled out the extra 500 so I would have it on the 29th. They did not bill my account until the 29 for the 400 and all my bills had been pulled from my account and I did not quite have $400 so the bank returned there draft. Also during this time of when the filed with my mortgag comapny they said they would call me as soon as the papers were filed. I would get the receipt from the mortgag compa ny that they had received them and the next day a check list of everything I needed to provide to Starr Law group, that was all to take place on the 22 and 23. I got no phone calls, emails nothing. Yesterday, Dec 2, I received a phone call that may payment hadn't cleared and they were going to charge me $50 for the nsf fee and they had already submitted for the second payment. I told them not to do that because of them submitting the first payment late had cause overdraft fees on my account and it wouldn't go through. I offered to make a payment on a debit card and the pay close to the balance on 10th and then on my next payday which would be Dec 24 I would pay whatever was left and the $700 that was due. Michael Chambers was a real jerk and was saying now I would have to pay two $50 NSF fees since they already sent off for the second payment. I was offering to make payaments and they were not willing to work with me one bit. I looked them up and found all kinds of scam reports on them. Michael Chambers left me a nasty voicemail a said they couldn't make any payment arrangements with, not once but twice yesterday and then had the nerve to say at the end of the voice mail"Not a nice christmas present is it". He also accused me of not being able to afford my house. That is not the case we just fell on hard times and need to get through a couple months and will be OK again.Michael Chambers and the Starr Law Group is bunch off jerks only out to make money and not help people. They moust have bought their rating with BBB.
