This is a company I consider to be incompetant.

Had Service Contract (for maintenance of furnace only) with them for a few years as landlord. Never bought oil from them under that account, not one drop. The tenant solely purchased oil from Standard Oil per their lease. Tenant moved out and cancelled their auto-delivery account. Since I had scheduling issues with annual service etc. with Standard, I decide to have new tenants purchase from a better company per their lease. New tenant moves in and I receive statement from Standard for upcoming year's service contract. This prompts me to call Standard and tell them that we will not be purchasing a service contract from them and to cancel said service account and invoice (which was for a service contract period that had not yet started).

They then decide to deliver oil 5 months later and bill me for it and start threatening collections... even though I never had an account with them to purchase oil, and tell me that either I pay or they will pump it out (as if I trust them to take the right amount out - those meters are not that accurate). Shady company.

I have been with standard oil for years. For some unknown reason I no longer receive a paper bill. After multiple calls and complaints they refuse to send me a paper bill. It is making payments difficult if not impossible. They state that they can't send me a paper bill till the following month. After it goes to default. I am tired of their lack of help. They tell me to call after a week as if the bill will show up in the mail. I wish they would resolve this matter since I am simply trying to pay a bill.
