Allstate Protection Plans Worst insurance company every! Before you put money in their pockets just know they don't give a f*k

I wish I never got a insurance policy with you guys. They are literally the worst, no face to face contact no nothing just a phone and a website that crashes all the f*cking. I have had insurance for nearly a year. Tried claim my first ever I phone been waiting almost a month because website keeps crashing and can't verify who I am, seriously don't waste you money with these lot!

Allstate Protection Plans Great customer service

I got some joycon controllers that started premature battery problems. I was able to file a claim and finish it in a day. Then the check to cover most of its price came in just a couple days without me having to send the controllers. I will use them again.

Allstate Protection Plans WOULD WE BUY A WARRANTY AGAIN FROM SQUARE TRADE - YES!

We purchased a power washer 3 years ago and also purchased the SquareTrade warranty. Last Tuesday it quit. We called the toll free number and talked to an agent. Yes, we were on the phone for almost an hour but at the end of the call we were told we would receive a check since there are no repair centers within a 100 miles. And yes we received an email the next day needing much of the same info we gave over the phone. The main problem was our current email address had changed since we bought the power washer. Once we responded to the email we received another email stating a check would be cut. We received a check in the mail yesterday, Saturday, for the full amount less tax.
We will absolutely purchase an extended warranty again from Square Trade. Word of warning... be sure and keep ALL your paperwork including invoices for your purchases.

Allstate Protection Plans Warranty on TV

I brought a tv from Walmart Feb 2019 and forgot I even purchased the warranty. On November 3rd this yr I woke up as normal and proceeded to turn on tv like always and tv won't turn on. Went on internet and tried everything but nothing still worked, I only got the blue light that lets you know the tv was on. Goes online to see when did I purchase tv from Walmart app since receipts are saved on there and that's when I found out I purchased the warranty and it was still good til 2022 ?
So I go online same day 11/03/2021 and started my claim Allstate (SquareTrade) I then called the number and gave them everything they asked for. They shot me an email for picks so I sent them pics of my black screen but made sure they could see that the blue light was on. They sent and email back that same day letting me know I was covered and they were going to refund me for the tv?11/12/21 I received a check in the mail for $239.27 and I paid $259.99 2yrs 9m ago so I'm a satisfied customer? I will definitely be getting a warranty again from these guys on my next tv purchase! Thanks

Allstate Protection Plans Cancelation

I called to cancel my plan when I notice AT&T did not cancel, I was told I had to contact square trade and if it had been within 30 days I could have requested a refund -which it was 4 days outside outside the time frame and been charged a second time. I've then seen on the website that you can request the pro rated refund which I call back the following day to do so And was told since it was month to month coverage that I could not even get it pro rated refund...although I turned the phones in within my 14 days of getting them And never used or needed the service yet I couldn't even get one month refund. I requested to speak with the supervisor which if that's how their supervisor act, it's no wonder the company has a very poor rating. This company does not represent All State and a good light at all! I have other policies with all state and have never had to deal with the lack of customer service or unprofessionalism like I've dealt with with this company. But I quickly learned AT&T was trash as well so goes right along with the service AT&T is providing. Both AT&T and square trade is garbage and glad I got away from both of them.

Allstate Protection Plans SCAM ALERT | ZERO STARS

SCAM ALERT | ZERO STARS- I had items approved for claims, they even had me take a lesser amount that the item is worth for a supposed fast claim. You get an email like so:
"Your Allstate Protection Plans claim has been approved for Fast Cash. We are processing your payment and you'll receive an email shortly once the payment has been confirmed. Your eGift Card will be sent to the below email address:
(removed for this post)
As a reminder, there is no need to send your damaged item to us. Please note that this payment completes your protection plan coverage. If the cost of a replacement item is more than your Fast Cash payment, you may submit documentation of replacement cost and we'll pay you the difference, up to the price of your original item. If you have any other questions, please visit our help center 24/7 to chat online with our specialists. Thank you for protecting your item with us."

I received the emails so I throw away the broken items and receipts as I am trying to get rid of clutter in the first place. I go to print the emails a few days later before I head over to Walmart but find that now the payment emails are broken links, with no explanation or reason. They give you an email address for any problems but that email address comes back as incorrect/unused. You now realize these people aren't trying to protect you and your items, they are trying to take and keep your money by any devious means necessary. I finally get ahold of them by finding a 1-800 # in the small print and they tell me that the payments were withdrawn due to "possible fraud" due to filing 3 claims in one day. I'm sorry I didn't submit all these claims exactly when they occurred, the process isn't fun so the first two small items I put off, but when a tablet broke I had to go ahead and file the claims. Fast forward to now and they are asking for pictures of the items they previously told me I could throw away and for receipts that I didn't keep (BECAUSE MY CLAIM WAS APPROVED FOR "FAST CASH") or they won't help me. Please keep in mind, they have the receipt number, because you have to enter it to initiate a claim. In fact, once you put in the receipt #, the "warrantied" item is automatically added. They are using devious tactics to attempt to squeeze every last dollar for their shareholders while they NEGLECT TO PAY CLAIMS THEY APPROVED!
DO NOT TRUST Squaretrade"! It is a scam run by devious people that will try their hardest to deny your claims, EVEN IF IT WAS ALREADY APPROVED. Absolute trash company.

Allstate Protection Plans SquareTrade will do EVERYTHING they can to NOT pay! DO NOT EVER buy their so-called "protection

Later in this review, I will show you what to choose as answers and what not to choose, but just to begin:

We had purchased four different warranties from SquareTrade through eBay and WalMart: two which we never used and expired; one that we have not used and is still good for a year; and the one I filed a claim on today. The one I filed a claim for, was for a portable A/C & Heating unit we purchased on WalMart.com in July 2019. We did not use, or even unpack the item for a few weeks after we received it, but kept it stored properly - in fact, just as it had arrived, and in the corner of the den. When we did finally use it, we noticed that it really did not cool very well. I phoned SquareTrade and they had a very short message saying they were closed. This went on for several days. WHAT KIND OF COMPANY IS ALWAYS CLOSED? I guess the kind that racks up dollars but never pays anything. That kind.

Anyway, life got in the way, the unit was placed in a hall closet, and we did not have a need for it until a family with a baby was staying with us over the holidays. While it did heat well, it became full of (condensed?) water, and had to be lugged and emptied almost every two hours. Who wants to wake up to a loud beeping (which woke the baby) and have to open the doors to empty this thing in the dead of winter and every two hours? It went back in the closet.

A few days ago, I was doing some house cleaning and finally decided to do something about this thing. I plugged it in and waited for it to cool. While it did stream cool(er) air than the air a fan would push, it was not very much cooler and in no way was it cold air. The room itself did not grow any cooler; it was in no way a 14,000-BTU cooled room, or system, as touted. I phoned SquareTrade again. AGAIN THEY WERE CLOSED! No recording about Covid closures, etc., just "CLOSED".

I called the next day. CLOSED AGAIN.

I got it then. Pretty much, they are a grotesque parody of a "Warranty (protection and coverage) or Insurance Company" and operate in a surreptitious, slimy way, hoping that you do exactly what we did: forget about it - don't deal with it - take it as a loss, and move on. In short, they are GARBAGE. I knew this then, before even going further.

At that point, I went through our emails, found our original receipt, date of purchase, and finally a link to filing a claim. If I had not been convinced of this company's shadiness beforehand, I more than was convinced after going through their claim process. Trust me, it is SPECIFICALLY AND PROFESSIONALLY ENGINEERED to steer you into not being able to process a claim.

Before filing you have to assert that you are not filing a false claim and that if you file any false information, your claim can be denied. This is all well and good, EXCEPT for how the Claim's questions are laid out and how they ALLOW you to reply to them. You must SELECT data about your product, but not all the data (manufacturer, model, etc.) is provided as a selection, so technically you cannot proceed WITHOUT IT, but IF you choose the WRONG selection, they can say that you "provided false information". Catch -22, or as it should be called: SCAM; PLAIN AND SIMPLE: SCAM. Next, you proceed to a screen which either asks you for your serial number - you cannot proceed without that, OR more often than not, directs you to a screen which tells you that you should check with the manufacturer because your item might still be under warranty with them. Well if so, THEN WHY BUY SQUARE TRADE AT ALL? IF it does not take you to that screen, it takes you to a screen where you must choose whether the item was working when you received it, and HERE is where they got me, and where you need to be careful!

Technically, mine does not cool a 560 sq ft room like it says it should. It blows cool air out, but it does not cool the room. In other words, it does not do the job for which it was purchased and intended. So, does it mean it is or isn't working, and if so, has it ever cooled? I did not know which of the two to choose, seeing as one could see it either way, and so I chose "NO". BIG MISTAKE. ***DO NOT CHOOSE THIS***.

The most laughable part of the entire thing is one of the following questions which asks you not only to tell them "in your own words" what "happened", BUT where they have already pre-filled a 'sample' statement of: "My cat spilled water on it", which of course, again, is PURPOSEFULLY meant to drive a person to fill it out in a manner in which THE BUYER (YOU) assume responsibility, ergo making the claim deniable AND TO BOOT, THEY ONLY GIVE YOU 250 characters to explain. Again: SCAM.

After your claim is denied, they DO give you a number to call (I did not include all of it on the screenshot in anticipation of them using that as an excuse to have this review removed in an effort to clean up their negative online presence), but when you do phone in, you invariably speak with a representative who in a bored fashion literally READS OFF a litany of canned replies as to why your claim was denied. When you try to explain that there is not enough information allowed in the claim in order to make that decision, they again read the exact pre-canned response.

This is NOT the only review to say this. As such, do your research before buying a so-called warranty from them. 9/10 times it will not be honored.

In closing, I know I've said certain companies are "the worst", but I must now go and edit those reviews as SquareTrade has been crowned as the absolute worst of the worst of the very bottom-feeding, sludge-forming worst.

If anything good comes out of this entire thing, it is the takeaway that SquareTrade is an "Allstate" company, and seeing as how they conduct themselves and in my opinion PURPOSEFULLY, INTENTIONALLY AND DELIBERATELY try to SCHEME AND SCAM its customers out of JUSTIFIABLE and VIABLE small claims, just imagine how much of a nightmare and enemy they would be as they most assuredly try to deny a house or auto claim.

Allstate Protection Plans I was very happy with my Allztate Protection Plan

I was very happy with my Allztate Protection Plan. I had gotten the 3 year coverage on a pair of noise cancelling bluetooth headphones which I use at work daily. After two years and a couple months of use 50 hours a week, the pivot point on the left headphone broke. I was presented several options for resolving my issue, which was fully resolved in less than a week. I have purchased a new pair of headphones and again opted for the 3 year Allstate coverage. I can highly recommend their services, having also utilized them for one of my son's x-box controllers (if you have an x-box, you know the controllers rarely make it past 2 years without some sort of problem)!

Allstate Protection Plans I bought a remanufactured computer from ******* two and a half years ago

I bought a remanufactured computer from *** two and a half years ago. It suddenly started having problems, and I remembered that I had purchased warranty coverage for it. After a somewhat lengthy process of filing a claim (which took about 20 minutes) and explaining the issue (it was broken), they offered me 75% of what I originally paid either as a check (which would take some time) or as a *** gift card. Since I needed a replacement quickly, I chose the gift card, knowing that *** would deliver a replacement promptly, and I could buy warranty coverage again. There are a couple of things to keep in mind: make sure to keep your documents, including the date of purchase, model and serial number, and have a detailed description of the problem ready. Overall, I believe it was a good investment.

This company was absolutely a delight to work with. They were respectful, kind, courteous, and absolutely listened to everything I had to say. They resolved my issue in a timely manner. Im so grateful that extra $10 to protect my property ended in a result with an amazing company, they kept her word, and they took care of me.

I contacted SquareTrade about my TV before the corona virus pandemic started and they gave me the steps to follow to start the case file. I ended up waiting over a month because of the pandemic and when I contacted SquareTrade again after everything settled down they walked me through the steps while I was on the phone with them and before the day was over I was approved for a brand new TV. My old TV was no longer available and SquareTrade picked another model for me that turned out to be a much better model then the one I previously owned. It took about a week but it was delivered to my door step. Thank You SquareTrade for being so helpful with my claim. Respectfully, Gerald Gandara

Was pleased with the speed of the experience but didnt receive the full amount I paid for the chair, I should have gotten a replacement cost of $275 and received $208. I understand that I got the furniture on sale but I paid more for my 2 chairs at $399 a piece than for the 2 piece sectional sofa. My total for all 4 pieces was about $1100 after discounts, if you divide that by 4 it should have been $275 since the original price of the broken chair was $399 before discount and the price for the each section of the couch was less than the chairs. Instead of paying only a little over $100 for a new chair I will have to pay over $200 so its not a replacement plan its what they think it will cost to get another chair for

Allstate Protection Plans On March 2023, My headphones stopped working and the manufacturer declined my warranty request

On March 2023, My headphones stopped working and the manufacturer declined my warranty request. But despite some online reviews I read, Allstate insurance was actually very polite and helpful, and refunded me $115 ($124 was the headset price 6 months back) within 12 hours, from when I claimed the request (you just have to contact the devices manufacturers warranty team first, and show the proof/email that they declined your warranty request). And they also told me, they would pay more (upto the original purchase cost) if it costs me more than $115 to replace the item (if I purchase & show them the receipt).So overall I had a great experience with them, and would definitely recommend them!

I had an issue with my computer battery and I needed to contact the manufacturer and work directly with Square Trade. At first, I was unsure, but after reaching out to them, I was pleasantly surprised. The technician from Square Trade took the time to review the situation, explain what would happen next, and guide me through the claim process. The manufacturer caused the longest delay as it took them several weeks to ship the new battery. However, Square Trade was very responsive and their part of the process was quick and required minimal paperwork. They promptly issued me a check for the replacement battery. The technician I worked with was named *** and he was excellent.

I purchased the AllState Protection Plan for a refurbished Wii through Walmart.com. This was a Christmas present for my son. After 2.5 months, the nunchuck failed. When I tried to create a claim online, it referred me to the manufacturer's warranty which did not apply. Since I had a claim number, I decided to call the customer service number and they were able to help me right away. They sent me the information on how to send it to them for repair and the shipping fee was covered. I sent the whole Wii unit so that they could verify the issue. I was given email updates on the progress and I received it back in less than 2 weeks. The Wii is working great. Based on my experience, I would recommend SquareTrade.

I bought a portable A/C from B&D on Amazon on July 25, 2017, and also purchased an extended warranty from Square Trade. I'm not a big fan of extended warranties, but after only two full summers, the A/C stopped cooling. I was disappointed with B&D. I contacted Square Trade and filed a claim. Initially, there was some confusion about lost records, and I thought to myself, "These warranties are just a gimmick!" However, I eventually spoke to a customer service representative named ***, who was extremely helpful and resolved everything in a pleasant and polite manner. I finally received a generous settlement from them, and the check arrived today. I am very happy with the outcome and will continue to use Square Trade in the future.

Whenever I bought electronic stuffs, I always bought Square Trade's insurance for them. Never had a chance to use it until now. My TV's screen went black in just 3.5 years of use so I called Square Trade to report it. After an initial diagnostic, and all the steps such as plug and unplug, reboot ... he came to the conclusion that my TV is dead and the resolution is to replace it. He sent me an email with a couple of TV models to choose from (almost compatible in functionality and price with mine). Within 3 days, a BRAND NEW tv (not a refurbished one) delivered to my door. Kudos Square Trade. You have my business for life ?. Couldn't be happier. FYI, you have to donate or discard the broken TV yourself because Square Trade won't take it back.

Allstate is a great company! I bought an air conditioner, online, from a large retail store. Also purchased the 3 year warranty, which was sponsored by Allstate. Four months later the air conditioner stopped working. I could not return to the store because it had been over 90 days. Called Allstate, who directed me to contact the manufacturer. I spent several days of phone calls and emails. The manufacturer, "Cool Living" would not help me. Called Allstate again, explained my situation. Allstate agent tried to contact "Cool Living" and could not find any assistance. So, Allstate refunded my purchase price of the air conditioner. I am and was so happy! Allstate has the best customer service! I would recommend them to anyone! Thank you Allstate Team! Yay!

I bought a Gaming Chair from Amazon.com and decided to get an extended warranty from Allstate Protection Plans (DBA Square Trade) for $***. After two years of having the coverage, the hydraulic lift cylinder stopped working. I went to the online claim site and submitted a claim. They emailed me back asking for pictures of the damage. I replied saying that I couldn't take pictures because the damage was internal. They asked for pictures again, and I responded with the same explanation. At that point, I called the Square Trade toll-free number (which I should have done initially). After a 5-minute phone call, they gave me a full refund for the chair. I'm happy with the outcome.

I am very satisfied with the service professionals and the overall outcome. I bought this warranty when I purchased my TV at a store. We had the TV for 3 years and it was no longer covered by the store or manufacturer's warranty, so the Square Trade warranty came into effect. I had to call a few times to speak to technicians who guided me through troubleshooting steps to try and fix the issue. Unfortunately, the problem never occurred while I was on the phone (the TV would go black multiple times during the day and take about 30 minutes to reset and start working again). After speaking to the fourth technician, the TV stopped working while on the call and the technician determined that it could not be repaired. They ordered a new TV that was similar to the one we had, and we received it within a week. I will always buy a Square Trade warranty for any big purchases we make in the future. The warranty is definitely worth the low cost.

Allstate Protection Plans Amazing - I am a believer now!

Amazing - I am a believer now! I am generally skeptical of insurance plans. My son is hard on electronics so we purchased. After a drop that cracked the hinge and a battery that would not hold a charge I went online to start a claim. There was a problem with their link so I initiated a chat and then started the claim on the phone. The process was exceedingly simple. No hard questions trying to invalidate warranty - they just emailed me the mailing label. I put the package in the mail and quickly received confirmation of its enroute status. Within a couple of days, we received a package in the mail. It was the repaired computer, with a "laptop repair summary" and a "laptop inspection checklist" signed by a technician and a final inspector. Wow - they not only repaired the items I identified but also repaired peripheral items (that I did not know to mention), and explained every one of their repairs in the parts repaired/replaced section. I was blown away - this is how customer service is supposed to be - I am a believer now.
