Solar VPS www.solarvps.com website is a fraud. I paid with Visa credit card and got access to the server VPS false. Never used it, always had flaws in some panels. They refused my login and password when asked to support the reencio login and password, claimed that this support could not send e-mail. I'd have to ask the panel of Parallels Plesk, it happens that this panel refused my login and password. They kept my money and refuse to erase my card and the system will charge monthly fees for a service not performed. Do not return the money. I have servers in other locations in the U.S. territory, good and bad servers, but this one is the worst, seems to mock me. Do not hire this service.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
I used Solar VPS for a few years, just to host a low-priority test server. When I needed to bring the server into production I attempted to add the backup services, and discovered that the entire online support tools were no longer working. I moved the server to another company. I cancelled the POD online and received no reply. A few days later I sent an email support ticket to confirm the cancellation, and it's now been over six weeks of emails back and forth with them basically refusing to cancel the service, and threatening me with legal action if I block the credit charge. Their scam is that with each email they simply repeat the same instructions over and over, and then don't act on them.
They have no phone support, and requests for them to call me have been aggressively denied.
By the way, the support tools are still offline, six months later. The BBB no longer lists them and their facebook page has gone silent. I suspect they're out of business except for the remain bill collection scam.
SolarVPS is a joke. My server has been down for 7 days. At first, their "support" would at least reply to a ticket and say "We are working on it". Since day 5, they wont even respond to any messages I send them. Supposidly it is a power supply issue but we all know that parts can be sent over night and installed the next day. They said it would be back online 3 days ago but they were wrong. See you later, SolarVPS.
Interesting that I found this dated complaint as I was searching for information on SolarVPS and spamming. I am getting huge amounts of spam from Indian companies who are using SolarVPS to both send the spam email and to host spammers' sites. I have reported the spam via SpamCop, only to find that all complaints to the SolarVPS spam abuse email addresses are bouncing.
SolarVPS are clearly and knowingly hosting and supporting spammers and no intention to do anything about it. If this matters to you, then you may want to consider whether you want to patronise them.
