Lea Winkler, aka many various names, is now trying to sell a dog that is the subject of a lawsuit over breach of contract, fraud and forgery. She is selling the dog for double what she paid for it and has snowed the people into believing she is legitimate. Contact any legitimate Golden Retriever breeder and mention the name Lea Winkler and see what response you get if they are active in the Golden world. The puppies she is selling out of Sydney can not be registered with AKC. Also, you should call GRCA to verify her membership. She asserts she is a "legitimate" breeder but legitimate breeders don't commit fraud and forgery to get full registrations like she did on Sydney (which thankfully the AKC reversed once the fraud was brought to their attention).
She can say anything she wants about me but amazingly enough in 15 years she is the ONLY one I have sold a dog to that has a complaint. She completely snowed me when buying the puppy, she lied about who she was referred by (which I discovered too late by my own fault of not checking). This woman is a liar, a cheat, commits fraud, commits forgery and has felony warrants out for her arrest. Her attorney threatened me with slander charges but it isn't slander if it is true. I have the warrant numbes and can easily provide them.
In the letter to her I state I would have had Sydney spayed before the puppies were born - this is true - I would have. She bred her under age with NO clue whatsoever about the dog she was using as a stud. She bred three females (entirely different backgrounds) to the same stud dog in 3 days. This goes to show that she knows NOTHING whatsoever about breeding except how to rip people off at $850.00 per puppy. Hum... wonder if the IRS knows she is selling 21 puppies at $850.00 each. I will have to contact them and make sure they know it.
BE CAREFUL. I have numerous e-mails from her I will be happy to send to people including one where she states she is beating the puppy when I refused to release the limited registration.

At the time I filed my complaint with AKC she was not a GRCA member. I checked that out. AKC won't suspend her because of the number of puppies she registers and they are all about the money. They did nothing but reverse the registration on Sydney and it took quite a while. I sent them a whole package of proof of her fraud and forgery as well as the name and phone number of a witness who was present when she picked up Sydney. The witness happened to be a licensed professional handler. Leah lied all through my dealings with her and after she got her hands on the puppy the whole thing turned into a nightmare. If there is any doubt about the Winkler's character get in touch with the Hickory North Carolina police. She tries to intimidate people and unfortunately for Leah I don't scare. I have begged her to try and sue me for slander (she keeps threatening me with jail time for slander - tells you how much she knows). Unfortunately my years in the legal profession have taught me to keep it to the truth and you are safe - that is why she won't come after me - I can PROVE every word I have ever written about her. She will come up with a new name now that English Cream Goldens site is closed down. Everyone be careful and make sure you check her out carefully before buying a puppy from her and especially before selling her a puppy. If you read the responses she has filed in the various fraud forum's you will see that she openly threatens to use my [censor] as a brood [censor] and then have her put down - is this REALLY the person you want having one of your precious babies? It's fairly obvious that rocket scientist no brainer = Lea(h) Winkler - the punctuation and constant CAPS are a dead giveaway.
I wonder what Golden Duck kennels would say if they were told about and shown all of the rather nasty messages that Lea has left about any breeder who crosses her? Considering that he seems to be a well-respected breeder and judge, I'm fairly sure that he wouldn't want to be associated with such garbage. I KNOW that Eva Sikora regrets ever becoming involved with her as well.
Debbie, have you ever considered filing a complaint with the GRCA about her conduct? At the minimum, you could get her privileges suspended for 6 months with the possibility of Expulsion at the annual meeting. If she is truly a member of the GRCA (as she claims), she is setting a horribly bad example and should not have that opportunity.

If breeders really cared about there dogs and not a (profit), they would be more concerned about this poor dog.WHAT'S GOING TO HAPPEN TO THE DOG.Stop a minute and think of this poor dog she has feelings too.Sounds like I said before its all about PROFIT.
